It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mwalimu John Chemweno Cheserem, which occurred on 26th June 2017 at Nairobi Hospital after a prolonged illness.

He was the son of Cheserem Kibosia and Soti Kibosia. Brother to late Lazarus Kandagor, Angelina Muge, Paulina Kimarial and late Paul Kimutai. He was loving husband to late Kimoi, Teriki and Kobilo. Father to Salina, Florence, Philip, late Joseph, Anna, Susan, David, Paul, Jacob, Stanley, Evelyne, Consolata, Francis, Stephen, Frimin, Reuben, Zakayo, Alice, Margaret, Charles, Agatha and Immaculate. He was cousin to Eunice, late Isaiah, late Hellen, Ben, Esther, Viola, late Evelyne, Dr.Kibosia, Hon. Anne, Julia, Philip, Jonathan, late Eliud, Cllr. Chebelieny, Dominic, late Charles, Kipsai, Chemorio among others. Brother inlaw to Pautenza, Clara, Dr. Carolyne, Magdalene, Pauline among others. Father in law to Salome, Salina, Anne, Evelyn, Margaret, Penninah, Margaret, Winnie, Rose, Rossy, and Regina. Loving grandfather to Kiplagat, Matthew, Caroline, Francisca, Raymond, Edmond, Beatrice, Trophimus, Leonard, Mike, Nicholas, Fred, Kelvin, Alex, Kigen, Donald, Amos, Oliver, Andy, Liam, Kemunto and many others. He was great grandfather to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at 5:30 PM at Corner House 5th Floor, Eldoret and Kaptomut. There will be a fundraiser to offset funeral expenses on 4th July 2017 at Professional Center from 5:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at his home in Kaptomut, Elgeyo Marakwet County on Saturday 8th July 2017.

Son of Mr Peter Kirumba Muthuku and Salome Wanjiku Kirumba, husband of Grace Wangari Kimani. Father of Rose Njambi, Peter Kirumba and Sally Wanjiku. Brother of Esther Mwenda, Bernard Muthuku, Joseph Kirumba, Alice Chege, Florence Kimathi, the late Hannah Waiyego, Josephine Kamau, John Kimuchu and Mercy Wanja. Grandfather of Brian and Thomas. Brother-in-law of Mwenda Macharia, Eunice Muthuku, Chege Njehia, Mark Kimathi, Paul Kamau, Njenga and Njeri, Njuguna and Waithera among others. Father-in-law of Njuguna. Family and friends are meeting daily at his Kamirithu Home from 4pm. There will be a major fundraising ceremony on Sunday 2nd July at his home from 2pm to cater for a hospital bill, all are invited those who cannot be able to attend can forward their contribution to 0722396914.

Funeral will be held on Wednesday 5th July 2017, The cortege leaves Uplands Funeral Home at 8am for his farm South Kinangop, kwa Haraka.

Funeral service will be held at Kaaga Methodist Church at 11.00 a.m, followed by burial at the family home in Kaaga, Meru County.
