It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing-on of Mrs. Rosana Wanjiru Nduati on June 26, 2017 while undergoing treatment at the Nairobi Women’s Hospital, Adams Arcade.

Daughter of the late Erastus Karanu Ngunyi and the late Anne Wambui Karanu. Wife of the late Mwalimu Ambrose Nduati Githegi. Mother of James Githegi Nduati, Mrs. Margaret Wangeci Mwangi, the late Erastus Karanu Nduati, Pius Mungai Nduatih, Patrick Karanja Nduati, Joseph Mwangi Nduati, the late Peter Mwaniki Nduati and Andrew Macharia Nduati. Sister of Phyllis Muthoni Karanu and the late Virginia Wangeci Muturi. Mother-in-law of Mary Nyambura Githegi, Joseph Mwangi Ngema, Maria Wangeci Mungai, Esther Wanjiru Mwangi, Benedeta Kabura Mwaniki and Agnes Njeri Macharia. Aunt, grandmother and great grandmother of many.

Friends, relatives and people of goodwill are meeting daily from Thursday 29th June 2017 beginning at 5.00pm at her home, Mbari-ya-Ndui, Gathera, and at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi for funeral arrangements and fundraising to help meet the huge hospital bill.

Stephen Mburu Karanja Diwani

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Stephen Mburu Karanja Diwani of Kiairia Village Githuguri Kiambu County which occurred on 23/6/2017. Son of the late Samuel Njogu Karanja and the late Esther Nungari loving husband of Agnes Wangari, Mburu. Brother of Boniface Boro Karanja, the late John Muthiga Kariuki, the late Joseph Gitau, and the late Dorothy Nyakariu. Doting father of Fredrick Karanja Mburu (MWEA), the late Martin Muchai Mburu, Esther Nungari of Muthuri Primary School, Catherine Njeri Muthike (Nairobi), Edward Njoroge Mburu (Mombasa), Pauline Njoki Ithong (Mombasa), and grandfather of many.

Friends and family are meeting daily from 4pm at his residence in Kiairia Village Githuguri to plan for his burial.

The cortege leaves Mukoe Funeral Home on Friday 30th June at 8:00am for the funeral service at Saint Patrick ,Catholic chuch Kiairia and burial will follow thereafter at his home Kiairia Githuguri.

It is with profound sorrow and sadness that we announce the untimely demise of Eng. Denis Otieno Oguta Ogalo, which occurred on 2Ist June 2017 at Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi.

Beloved son of the late Jacob Oguta Ogalo (Jarateng) and Siprose Alcumu Oguta. Husband of Millicent Nabwire Oguta and Mildred Langat Oguta. Father to Alpha Atemesia of St. Ann’s-Mumias, Beta Jarateng of St. Mary’s Academy-Jacaranda, Leon Oguta of Miteitei Boys and Gammar. Brother to Evans Oguta and Irene Oguta. Grandson to the late Christopher Ogalo Oito and Hellen Ogalo. Cousin to Willis, Moses, Bernard, Rose, Kennedy, Lucy, Janet, Sela, Kevin, Robert, Eric and Mercy. Nephew to Eng.Atonga of KPA and the late Odero Onam.

Husband of the late Rose Mugure. Father of the late John Mwangi, Julius Ikubu, Stephen Kahe, James Irungu, the late Catherine Mukami Maina and Jackson Njora. Brother of the late Njora Waiganjo, Edward Kariuki and Kabura Ndutha.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Kahuhia and at Kahe’s home in Kihunguro-Ruiru for prayers and funeral arrangements starting at 5p.m. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University funeral home on 30th June at 9a.m for funeral service and burial at Kahuhia, Muranga County.

Daughter of the- late Reverend Canon Samuel Meja Okumbi and the late Rachel Ameso Meja of lkhaba, Namasori, Kakamega County. Sister of the late Akala Meja, the late John Meja, the late Ruth Obanda Kidenda, the late Hellen Majale, the late Paul Muruka, the late Margaret Meja, and the late Florence Meja-Nasoro.

Wife of the late John Alushula (Dherema) of Ebukambuli in Ilala village, Khwisero Sub-County, Kakamega County. Mother of Rosebella Atemo, Anthony Arunga, the late Lynnette Anyonje, Stephen Litunya, the late Rachel Ameso, Tom Meja, Anglo Alushula, and Sarah Lidia.

Sister-in-law of Wilson Indimuli, Lloyd Arunga, Joyce Wameyo, Malack Akollo, Julius Arunga, Hosborne Ongoli, Fred Litunya, Philip Obanda, Davis Wodenyo, Joseph Arunga, the late Hellen Ayieko, the late Clive Nabongo, the late Leonida Ambundo, the late Elizabeth Kayo and their siblings. Co-wife of Dorothy Wodenyo, Luciana Malack, Philice Indimuli, and Rose Malika Arunga who cared closely for her until her final breath. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, 33grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The cortege will leave St. Mary’s Hospital Mumias on June 29, 2017 at 11.00. This will be followed by a Church Service at St. John’s Church – Mukhombe. Burial will be on Saturday July 1, 2017 at her home in Ilala Ebukambuli, Khwisero, Kakamega County.

Winfred Milka Wangui Gichuhi Kahenya

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Winfred Milka Wangui Gichuhi Kahenya which occurred on 24th June 2017 after a short sickness bravely borne. She was the former wife of Bernard Kibet Koech. Loving mother to Debbie, Nissi and Victoria. Daughter of John Gichuhi Kahenya and the late Serah Nyawira Gichuhi Kahenya and Harriet Warnuyu Gichuhi. Sister to Rose Wambui Gichuhi, Maureen Wanjiku Gichuhi and Samuel Kahenya Gichuhi and a loving cousin to many.

The cortege will leave P.C.E.A. Kikuyu Hospital Mortuary on 29th June 2017 at 10 a.m. and the burial will take place thereafter at P.C.E.A. Kikuyu Hospital Public Cemetery next to Alliance Girls High School starting from 11a.m.

Racheal Syokau Mang’oka

We regret to announce the sudden and untimely death of Racheal Syokau Mang’oka. She leaves behind a husband John Guchu Macharia (British High Commission) and their son Neil Macharia Guchu. She was daughter to David Kakui Mang’oka and the late Mrs. Esther Katuu Mangoka. Sister to Josphine Kakui (Machakos Baptist), Eva Nthenya (U.S.A), Beatrice Minoo,. Brother of Thomas Kakui, Micheal Makau.

Daughter in Law to Mrs. Jane Wanjiku Kinywe, Sister in Law to Late Martin Mutala, Jason Estebez (USA), Sammy Githinji, Gerald Kinywe, George Nganga, Beatrice Munjiru (Brazilian High Commission), Purity Wanjiru and Everlyne Mwongeli. She was aunt to Ian Kakui Mutala, Ivy Mutala, Ryan Kenya Githinji, Ajani David Kakui and Esther.

The burial will be held on Friday 30th June in Murang’a, Mugori. The body will leave Kenyatta University at 7:00am for burial together with the service.
