Heaven’s gain was our loss when our Angel Rebecca Gathoni Kanyutu was called by the Lord on 21st June 2017 at Aga Khan Hospital at 3.15am after suffering a cardiac arrest. Loving wife of Mwalimu Dominic Kanyutu Thuo (Rtd),

Daughter of the late Chief Joseph Waweru Gichuhi and Late Milka Waithera Waweru. Step daughter of Hannah Kabura Waweru.

Daughter-in-law of the late Andrew Thuo Chege and Florence Wangui Thuo. Mother of Florence Wangui Njonjo (Barclays Bank), Milcah Waithera Gaita (Thika High School), Andrew Kanyutu (AVLC GROUP) and Watiri Kanyutu (Port Elizabeth South Africa).

Grandma of Kinuthia Njonjo, Kanyutu Njonjo, Wambui Gaita and Gathoni Gaita. Mother in law of Charles Njonjo and Sammy Gaita of St Paul’s Secondary Gatuanyaga.

Sister of Rachel Nyambura Gichuhi, the late Manasses Karanja Waweru, Esther Wanjiku Ndung’u Thuku and Benjamin Kanyingi Waweru. Step sister of Rachel Waithera Kahando, Manaseh Ndungu Waweru,Tabitha Njoki Mwaniki, Mary Nyawira Chege, Esther Wambui Waweru and Serah Wangari Waweru. Aunt and cousin of many.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers at All Saints Cathedral from 5pm to 7pm, and Barigitu Farm – Thika.

There will be a requiem mass at Consolata Shrine Westlands on Tuesday 27th June at 2pm.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, 28th June 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Barigitu Thika at 1 I.30am, followed by burial at the Family’s farm.

Mum, you fought a worthwhile battle and left a legacy. We celebrate your life, in our hearts you live forever. We loved you Mum!

We regret to announce the death of Virginia Wambui Beauttah. Beloved wife of the late James Rastafar Beauttah.

Daughter of the late Sammy Njoroge (Mucengi) and Mrs Hannah Victoria Nyambura of Mwamuto. Mother of Henry Rohara, Ada Victoria Muchiri, Sammy Njoroge, the late George Katila, Hannah Nyambura Wanjohi and Winnie Kivenyo.

Sister of the late Margaret Wathika Ngarama, Leonard Mbui (USA), the late Grace Murugi Njoroge, the late Jennifer Wanjiru Njoroge, Mercy Wangari Mbatia (Gikambura), Wilson Njoroge (Karura), Grace Njeri (Karura) and the late Joyce Waruku Kamore.

Daughter-in-law of Henry Rohara Beauttah and late Ada Victoria Beauttah. Sister-in-law of late Winnifred Nyarnbok, late George Beauttah, Pauline Beauttah, Oscar Beauttah, the late Betty Wanjiru Beauttah, the late Steele Beauttah and Jimmie Simba Beauttah. She is survived by several grandchildren.

Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday 28th June 2017 at 12 noon at Maragwa Catholic Church and the burial to follow thereafter at their ancestral home in Maragwa.
