It is with humble regret that the Mbeo family announces the death of Dr Petronella Mbeo (Pet) of Kenya School of Pharmacy on Thursday 15th June, 2017 at Aga Khan University Hospital after a brave battle with Endometrial Carcinoma.

Beloved wife of Hon. Ochieng’ Mbeo of Mfangano Island, Kakimba, Waware. Devoted mother of Michelle, Dr. Gilbert “Papa” Ochieng’, Dianne and John “Jay” Mbeo all of USA. Daughter-in-law of the late Sen. Shelemiah Mbeo Onyango & Coun. Loise Auma, and Pamela Mbeo of Awendo, Migori. Daughter of the late Mzee John Joseph and Mama Mary Pacifica Odula of Muhoroni. Mother-in-law of Irene Kafeero-Mbeo and grandmother of Marwa Ella and Gilbert Ochieng (Ochi) Mbeo Ill. Sister of Connie Amolo, Vincent Odula, Liz Onyango (USA), the late Fred Odula, the late Meya Odula, Stella Dimba (USA), Caroline Odeny, the late Beatrice Auma, the late Steve Ochieng’ and Charles Omondi.

Funeral gatherings are taking place every evening at No. 10 Argwings Kodhek Road, opposite Radar Security.

A special meeting for family and close friends is scheduled for Thursday 22nd June at the Ruby Cut Gardens, Nairobi, from 5 pm.

Friday from 5pm and Sunday from 3pm at her granddaughter, Ng’endo Karau’s residence in Ridgeways Country Homes where she has been living. The cortege leaves Avenue Hospital Mortuary, Nairobi on Monday 26th June 2017 at 7.30am and proceed for the funeral service and burial at her home in Maraigushu Village, Naivasha.
