He is former Deputy Principal Muhoho High, former Principal Muongoiya Sec and Miguta sec and lately teacher Thika School for the Blind and a PTA member Njiiri School. Son of the late Wallace Waruiru Kimata and the late Beth Kabura Waruiru. Son-in-law of John Kagia and Florentina Waithira. Husband of Cecelia Gathoni Kimata of Muya Primary Ndenderu. Father of Edwin Waruiru (Karatina University), Valentine Kabura (University of Nairobi), Donbosco Kagia (Njiiri School), Tekla Waithira and Viona Wanja(Muya Primary School). Brother of late Pauline Wanja Mwangi, Mary Njoki Kimani, Nancy Njahira, the late Martin Gakunga, Rosemary Keru, Daniel .M. Waruiru, Julius Njoroge and Brother-in-law of the Kagia’s. Uncle of Antony Waruiru,Thomas Waruiru among others. Cousin of Dr Kimata Mukui, Patrick Kimata, Francis Kimata, Dr Kimata Muoria, Kimata Ngumba, Maria Wanja, Elizabeth Njeri,Waithaka Mukui and the Gakunga’s. Nephew of the late Josphat Mukui, David Chege, the late Solomon Muoria, the late Clement Mukui Francis Ngumba, Philip Mukui, Dominic Mungara and the Gakungas. Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Holy Family Basilica at 5:00pm.The cortege leaves KU Funeral Home on Saturday 6th May 2017 at 8:00am and proceed to Kirangi,Gatundu South for the burial mass.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily from 6.00p.m. for prayers and burial arrangements at his parent’s residence Varsity Ville Estate, Bypass Ruiru. The cortege  leaves Kenyatta National Hospital Mortuary on Friday, 5th May 2017 at 9.00 a.m. followed by funeral service  and thereafter burial at the family home, Bypass Ruiru.
