Richie Munyao (Junior)

16th November, 1987 – 21st November, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and heaviness of heart that we announce the sudden passing of Richie Munyao, Director, Innovo Ltd, and NTSA.

Loving and doting father of Charlie Muoki Munyao; and beloved son of Michael Munyao Electrogen Technologies Ltd & Evelyn Munyao – Green & Gold Ltd Cherished brother of Phil Chege Munyao – Innovo and Natasha Ngina Munyao (Canada).

Beloved grandson of the late Mweka Munyao and Susan Ngina Munyao of Mitaboni and the late Philip Chege and Esther Gathoni Chege. Adored nephew, cousin, colleague, and friend to many.

Family and friends will gather for prayers and funeral arrangements at Karura Community Chapel off Limuru Road, on Monday, 24th, and Tuesday 25th November 2025, from 6.00pm.

The date for the funeral will be announced at a later date.

Eric Sitanda Kimunguyi

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Eric Sitanda Kimunguyi of Croplife Kenya/Agrochemicals Association of Kenya (AAK), who departed this life on 16th November 2025.

Eric was a beloved son of Japheth Kimunguyi and Rose Nekesa Kimunguyi of Lukhokhwe Village in Bungoma County.

A loving husband of Judith Taaka Ochieno (NEMA) and Yolanda Nekesa (Porticus Africa), a devoted father of Rhodney Kakai.,Yvonne Nekesa, Joan Nekesa, Jackson Murunga, Jemmy Sitanda, and Janiya Sitanda. He was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and son-in-law, leaving behind a wide circle of family and friends who loved and admired him.

Eric is survived by his siblings Gilbert, George (NDMA), Sammy (National Treasury), David (Djibouti). Martin (NGCO), Evans (Djibouti), Maureen (PBORA), and Brendah (KICC).

He was a son-in-law of Jackson Ochieno, Elizabeth Nekesa, and Angelina Ochieno of Mundika; and to Joan Namachanja and Gellas Waswa of Cherang’ani.

Eric was a beloved uncle of Elvis, Marion, Noel, Felix, Naomi, Cindy, Dylan, Samantha, Ariana, Skyfer, Caren, Mitchell, Joe ,Victoria, Raymond, Jesse, Irian, Ashley, Liam, Reagan, Ethan, Nyla, Larry and Lani.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Signature Mall, 2nd Floor (Food Court) from 6:00 pm to coordinate burial arrangements.

A fundraising (harambee) to support burial expenses will be held On Monday, 24th November 2025, at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, starting at 5:00 pm. All are warmly invited to attend and offer support.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, 26th November 2025,E Friends Church International (Quakers), Ngong Road, starring at 11:00am.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Friday, 28th November 2025, for his final resting place at Lukhokhwe Village, Bungoma County, where he will be laid to rest on 29th November 2025.

Jane was cousin of Benson Kioko, Meshach Mutunga, Francis Kitoo, Mueni Maithya and Rael Kayoi.

Joy Wangeci Mathenya

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden and heartbreaking passing of Joy Wangeci Mathenya, who lost her life in a tragic road accident along the Eastern Bypass on Monday, 17th November 2025. A bright student at the University of Nairobi, Joy carried dreams that stretched far beyond her years and dreams she pursued with quiet determination and a heart full of hope.

Wangeci was the beloved daughter of Mr. Cyrus King’ori Mathenya (Principal Utawala Academy) and Mrs. Emily Wambui King’ori (Athi Primary School); a devoted sister of Wilson King’ori Mathenya; she was a step sister of Avery Wilson King’ori Mathenya and Zyrie Joy Wangechi Mathenya, and a gentle, adoring aunt of Shamilla Wambui King’ori.

She was a cherished cousin of Kelvin Kanyuira, Wilson Kingori, Muringe Karanja, Christine Karanja, Dorine Karanja, Evelyn Waruguru, June Nyambura, Esperance Khalisa, Gerald Mahinge, and Max Gitahi, among many others.

She was also a treasured niece and a loyal friend whose presence was a quiet comfort to all who knew her. Wangeci’s personality was her greatest gift. She was gentle yet strong, thoughtful yet joyful, a young woman who carried a rare softness in her heart.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and support at the family home in Utawala (Academy Court) near Mofarm, and at Banta Villa near Magunas Supermarket, Utawala Nairobi starting at 6:00pm, as burial arrangements continue.

1955 – 2025

She was the beloved wife of Professor Isaac Meroka Mbeche, and daughter-in-law of the late Mzee Peter Mbeche and the late Mama Agnes Mokeira. Loving mother of Lucy Kerubo Meroka-Ouko, the late Fred Momanyi Meroka. George Oruta Meroka and Agnes Kemuma Meroka-Mutua. She was the mother-in-law of Moses Ouko, Dennis Ndambo and Sicily Mukami.

Sister of Elizabeth Kwamboka Ornano, Alose Ogega Atancha, the late John Makario and the Late Robert Atancha.

Sister-in-law of the late Richard rslyamao,Teresa Obonyo, Stephen Kerato, the late Simeon Mbeche, the late Samuel Basweti, the late Anne Nyamoita, Rose Ogega, the late Oscar Omano and Zipporah Atancha.

Grandmother of Bijou Ouko, Faith Ouko, Isaac Ouko, Ham Ouko, Agnes Mokeira, Isaac Oruta, Isaac Mutua, Josef Mutua, Emmanuel Mutua and David Mutua.

She was an aunt to many.

She was the loving wife of the late Raphael Mwangi and a dear mother of David Maina, Lilian Wanjiru, Mercy Wangari, the late John Kariuki, Jane Wanjiku, Dickson Munene, Gerald Gakure, Kenneth Karnau, Pauline Waithira. Nicholas Gichuki, and Richard Kirango.

Daughter of the late David Kibe and the late Jane Mumbi, Sister of the late Pauline Waithira, Peter Gakure, the late Isabbella Waigumo, Mary Wangari and the late Gibson Gichuki. She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home on Thika Road (opposite Shell Kabati) on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held at ACK St Barnabas Thuita Church at 11:00 am followed by burial at her home in Githare Village.

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Pauline Njeri Kariuki, beloved wife of Captain (Rtd.) Joseph Kariuki Kuria (Wamutha), who passed away peacefully on 12th November 2025 at 7:00 AM.

She was predeceded by her parents, the late Lawson Ngugi and the late Hannah \Alaniiku, and her parents-in-law, the late Moses Kuria Karago and the fate Minnie Wacuka Kuria.

Pauline is lovingly remembered by her children. Kuria, Kennedy, Minnie, and Wanjiku; her grandchildren, Pauline, Mark, Imani, Biessing, Jabari„ Nyambura, Kendric, Wangari, Joshua, Mark, Jesse, and Kevo; her sisters, Lucy, Gladys, Lucia, Getrude, Murugi, Esther, Susan, Njarnbi, Monica, Rosa, Jane, and Hannah; her late brothers, Julius, Harun, and Robert; and her cherished mother-in-law relationships with Nancy, Caro, Malla and Julius.

Beloved husband of Jerioth Ciarunci Nyaga, and together they were blessed with four children: Kezia Kanyua, Evelyne Muthoni, Winston Murithi, and Ezra Njau. Father-in-law of David Nyaga Mukindia, Rev. Eustace Kahuthia, Margaret Karimi, and Grace Wan jiku. Cherished grandfather of Esther, Ruth, Keru, Eva, irKabui, Paul, Victor, Mukami, Fred, Kiki, Ng’endo, and Ayana; and a loving great-grandfather of Sean, Samara, Nate, Wairimu, Taraji, Hami, Chacha, and Karl.

She was the Beloved wife of Mr Cosmas Wekesa (Retired former KNEC staff) of Webuye West Constituency, currently residing in Katani, Machakos County. She was the mother of Godfrey, Laura, Peter, Masinde and the late Eric.
