Nicodemus Hongo Owuor went to be with the Lord on 20th April 2017, after a valiant battle with cancer bravely borne.
Son of the late Barnabas Owuor Yugi and the late Martina Andhoga. Beloved husband of Teresa Achieng Hongo. Dear father of Charles Otieno-Hongo and Janet Odongo, Beatrice Hongo and Julius Bett, Felix Hongo and Sarah Mijabi, Steven Owino and Rosalina Kerubo and Andrew Emmanuel. Grandfather of Tamia, lmani, Gael, Aurea, Alden and Emmanuel. Solomon rested peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Monday 24th April 2017 at his home in Nanyuki.

He was the loving husband to Margaret Waihuini Wachira. Caring father of Alice Gitonga, James Wachira, Lillian Wachira, Charles Wachira, Rose Ngene and Ann Wachira of USA.

He was father in law of James Gitonga Kobia, Triza Gichuhi, Shiro Ndirangu and Ngene Gituku. Son of the late John Gichuhi and the late Dorcas Wangui. He was a brother of Samuel Kinyua, late Veronica Mukami, Lucy Wangari, Julius Maina, Jacob Rukwaro, late Joseph Gatheru and Priscilla Wambui. Son in law of late Malack Ndirangu and late Damaris Waguthi.

He was brother in law of Arthur Nderitu, Hezekiah Macharia, late Hanna Wangui, Joyce Gathoni, Douglas Kanyi, late Duncan Magana and Daniel Wamuya. Grandfather of Wanja, Munene, Wachira and Waihuini Gitonga; Sandra Waihuini and Bernadette Njeri Gichuhi of USA; late Sean Wachira; Waihuini Ndirangu, Wainaina, Wachira and Kaigai Ngene and Nathan Wachira of USA. Great grandfather of Alice Waguthi, Gitonga Munene and Mureithi Munene. Cousin and uncle to many.

There will be a mass daily starting at 6pm at his Nanyuki Muthaiga Residence and at his son residence at Runda Evergreen on Thursday 27th April 2017 at 5.30pm.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at Ibis Hotel Nanyuki starting from Thursday 27th April 2017 at 7pm.

The cortege leaves Nanyuki Teaching & Referral Hospital funeral home at 8.30am on Wednesday 3rd May 2017 to Our Lady of Mount Kenya Benedictine Monastery-Nanyuki.

He will be laid to rest at his home in Nanyuki Muthaiga Estate. Solomon was a family man, leader, businessman and a friend to many. He was indeed a great man.

It is with deep regret that we announce the death of our beloved Nabat Alibhai Jiwa Shamji on 25 April 2017. She was a loving sister as well as a wonderful and precious aunt.

Inallilalhi Wainailahi Rajiun. To Allah we belong, and to him is our return. May Allah grant her Jannat.

The funeral service shall take place on Thursday, 27 April 2017 at 9am at the Aga Khan Pavillion, 5th Parklands Road. The cortege will leave for burial at 10am at Kariokor.

Mama went to be with the Lord on Monday April 17th 2017 at the Mater Misericodiae Hospital.

Friends and family are meeting today Tuesday 25th April 2017 at 6pm at the Nairobi Baptist Church Mezzanine B Hall. There will be a fundraiser on Wednesday 26th April 2017 at 6pm at the same venue.
