It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing to glory of Mr Wilson Maina Gichuri. The acting director general of Kenya Fisheries Service, which occurred on 20/02/2016, at his home in Membley Park – Ruiru.

Husband of Grace Wamaitha Maina of Kamp David Princesa Resort – Ruiru. Father of Teresa Wanjiru Maina and Amos Wamathi Maina. Son of the late Amos Gichuri and the late Teresa Wanjiru.

Brother of the late Wellington Ndiritu the late Christopher Kibiri, Jane Wairimu Wachira, Felix Ngunjiri, Michael Githinji and the late Grace Nyokabi. Son-in-law of the late Margaret Muthoni and the late Paul Kanguru.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his home Membley Park Ruiru Central Court House No, C107, at his rural home in Witima Othaya and Milestone Hotel 2nd floor conference hall along Mfangano Street near Njoguini Hotel from 6pm for prayers and funeral arrangement,

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Rome at 7am on Saturday 25/02/2017 for burial at his home in Witima Village, Karima Location, Othaya Nyeri County.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mzee Paul Ngome Nalianya which occurred on 12th February, 2017 at Fountain Health Care Hospital, Eldoret.

Son of the late Nalianya Mongoi and the late Nasimiyu Matinyi. Husband of the late Neddy Ngome, Selina Ngome and Margaret Muronji. Father of George, Joseph, Roselyn, Oscar, Alice, the late Phillip, Bashir, the late Levy, Sammy, Mary, the late Zack, Alex, Caroline, Milka, Aaron and Titus. He leaves behind 69 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his home in CPU, Turbo for funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves MTRH mortuary on Thursday 23rd February, 2017 for funeral service at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Mwamba from 11am. Burial service will be held on Saturday 25th February 2017 from 10am at his home in CPU Turbo.

The cortege leaves the Outspan Hospital Mortuary (Nyeri) on Friday 24th February for burial at his home in Githima-Kagere Village at 10am.

George William Olando Maloba

13/12/1959 – 13/02/2017

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of George William Olando Maloba which occurred on 13th February 2017 after a long illness bravely borne. Son of the late Timothy Maloba (Major) and the late Esther Atsieno. Husband of Monica Oriang’ Maloba (KMTC – Nairobi). Father of Vivian Aloo Maloba (Monice Classic Bakery), Emmanuel Timothy Maloba (UoN) and Vanessa Esther Maloba (Ngara Girls). Brother of Selpha Maloba, Gladys Osore, Josephine Maloba and Joyce Osundwa. Nephew of the late Deborah, the late John, the late Cleopa, Leah (Bungoma), the late Zebedayo, the late Benjamin, the late Joseph, the late Samson and Josphat (Emaukuo).

Family and friends are meeting daily at his residence at House No. 1 Valley View Park Estate Mlolongo, Machakos County for prayers and funeral arrangements. A final fundraiser will be held on 21st February 2017 at his residence, from 6pm to offset funeral costs. The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Services on 23rd February 2017 at 9am for a funeral service at St Luke’s Church (Kenyatta Market) at 10am. The procession will then proceed to his rural home in Mayoni Village, Mumias, Kakamega County, where he will be laid to rest on Saturday 25th February 2017.

Judy Nini Njaga Lacassagne

Appreciation

January 4th 1965 January 21st 2017

We thank God for the life of Judith Nini Njaga Lacassagne, who passed away on Saturday 21st January 2017 and for the love and time we shared with her. We are thankful to the Lord for the gift of her children and look forward with great joy to the day we will be reunited again.

We are thankful for the massive outpouring of love and support we received from her friends and extended family after news of her passing. The committee worked tirelessly to ensure she was laid to rest and we extend our sincere gratitude to all who lent their support in the form of prayers, finances, tasks and emotional support. Thank you to Pastor Ken Gachie for officiating, to St John’s Church Mwimuto and to the Senior Citizens Group. We are especially grateful to one of Judy’s dearest friends, the first lady Margaret Kenyatta and HE Uhuru Kenyatta for their love and support during this painful time. We are deeply thankful that the First Lady spared her busy time to offer comfort and support to the family as soon as she learnt of the sad news and also graced the funeral service with her presence.

May the Lord rest her soul in eternal peace.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mr Charles Gicovi Njogu (Njeru) – formerly of VOK/KBC, which occurred on 17.02.1027 at 10am. Son of the late Samuel Njogu Muyambiri and Alice Njoka Njogu and step son of Glady’s Ciumwari Njogu. He’s survived by son Tony Muturi & daughter Juliet Waruingi.

Husband of the late Lucy Njoki and Ruth Wanja. Doting father of Charity Karimi, David Muturi, Solomon Fundi, Yvonne Mukami, Lydia Kagendo, June Murugi and Dorcas Njoki and six grand children. Brother of Francis Mwaniki (Mali ya Bwana, formerly Sohan Singh & Sons/Suzuki), Harry Njogu (Mbiri Conrenova Ltd), Patrick Njogu (Njagi), Alexanda Murithi, James Kariuki, Johnson Kathuri, Nancy Muthoni, Joan Njoki, Faith Marigu, Lydia Wambeti, Jane Wandiri & Newton Mwaniki.

Damians will be laid to rest on 24th February 2017 at his home in Mbita Kasgunga Usare Village. Star of the Sea, Mbita Catholic Church will preside over the requiem mass.
