Wife of Ramat Jacob Abdallah of Chicago and loving mother of Bashiru and Aisha. She was the daughter of Hon. Dr. Munyua Waiyaki and the late Naomi Wanjiku Waiyaki. Sister of Elizabeth Wairimu Waiyaki, Tiras Barae Waiyaki, Solomon Njuguna Waiyaki, Gladwell Wathoni Waiyaki, Tuchi Karanja Waiyaki and the late Lui Kimani Waiyaki.

Sister-in-law of Veronica Anam Waiyaki. Loving aunt of Fredrick Munyua, Edward Njuguna, Jordanka Wanjiku, Taiyani Wanjiku and Tori Wanjiku.

The funeral service and interment will be held in Chicago, USA. A Thanksgiving Service will be held in Nairobi on 3rd February 2017 from 2.00p.m at Kathini Farm, next to Rosslyn Gardens, off Redhill Road.

 Death has occurred of Christopher Maina Waruru (formerly of KCB and GT Bank). Son of the late Geoffrey Waruru and the late Esther Wangu. Husband of Anne Nkatha Maina (Friends Women Development Programme). Father of Belinda Wangu Muendo (General Electric) & Peter Mutitwa Muendo (Hitachi Data Systems), Dr Catherine Mwendwa Maina (Lords Healthcare), Grace Nyawira Maina (UoN – School of Pharmacy) and Sam Waruru Maina (JKUAT – School of Engineering).

Grandfather of Mark, Gabriel and Abigail. Brother of Bernard Kairu (KARLO), Bernie Gachanja (USA), the late Peter Maina and the late Geoffrey Githinji, uncle and friend to many.

Meetings are being held daily at the family home in Greenfields Estate, Nairobi, and at PCEA St Andrews Church, Nairobi, (except Saturday and Monday) from 5.30pm.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mzee Kenneth Kinuthia Kairu at Aga Khan hospital Nairobi on the 20th January 2017, at a blessed age of 103 years. He hailed from Kamuchege location, Lari Division, Kiambu County. Beloved husband of the late Naomi Warigo, whom he married in 1942.

Mzee Kenneth and the late Naomi were blessed with six children; Joyce Wambui, Salome Wanjiru, Julius Kairu, the late Kariuki Kinuthia, Grace Wairimu and Ruth Njeri. Father-in-love of Dorcas Wanjiru, Salome Njoki and the late Ng’ang’a Itotia. Cherished grandfather of 35 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Brother of the late Njoroge Kairu, late Appolo Kihanya, late Elizaphanson Wanguna late Wairimu Kairu and many step-brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily for worship services and burial arrangements at the late Kariuki Kinuthia’s home in Ridgeways and his Kamuchege home from 5.00pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University mortuary on 27th January 2017 at 8.00am for burial at his Kamuchege home starting from 11.00am.The funeral service will be conducted at Naomi Warigo Kinuthia PCEA Memorial Church.
