Son of Samuel Ibinda and Serah Njambi Ibinda. Husband of Lydiah Njambi Gikaru. Father of Samuel Njenga (IMCO holdings), Hildah Njeri Mungai (Dagoretti Sub — District Hospital), Paul Kamau (Sun Africa Hotels), Hellen Wanjiru Waweru and Susan Muthoni. Grandfather of Allenson Gikaru, Favour Njambi, Jeyson Njoroge,Tamira Ngonyo,Victor Gikaru, the late Natasha Njambi and Alvin Ngugi. Brother of Michael Ndung’u, Susan Muthoni Njogu (Rusegiti), George Njuguna (Kalro Kabete), Simon Njenga (Thika), Peter Kariuki (Kalro Muguga), Leah Wariara (Kefri Muguga), John Mburu, Margaret Wangui Naai (Muguga) and Grace Wanjiru Ngugi (Sigona). Son-in-law of the late Paul Kamau and Late Hellen Wanjiru (Gatundu). Father-in-law of Carol Njenga, Wallace Mungai, Irene Kamau and Kevin Waweru.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home Muguga Jet Scheme (Ika lmwe) from 4:30pm for prayers and funeral arrangements. The body is lying at PCEA Kikuyu Hospital Mortuary and shall be removed on Monday 23rd January 2017 at 9:00am. Funeral service will be held at PCEA Nguriunditu Church on 23rd January 2017 at 10:00am and thereafter burial at his home Muguga Jet Scheme (Ika lmwe) the same day.
