It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Elder James Gikaru lbinda of PCEA Nguriunditu Church (Nderi Parish) working at ministry of health HQS after being shot by robbers at his home on 16th January 2017.

Son of Samuel Ibinda and Serah Njambi Ibinda. Husband of Lydiah Njambi Gikaru. Father of Samuel Njenga (IMCO holdings), Hildah Njeri Mungai (Dagoretti Sub — District Hospital), Paul Kamau (Sun Africa Hotels), Hellen Wanjiru Waweru and Susan Muthoni. Grandfather of Allenson Gikaru, Favour Njambi, Jeyson Njoroge,Tamira Ngonyo,Victor Gikaru, the late Natasha Njambi and Alvin Ngugi. Brother of Michael Ndung’u, Susan Muthoni Njogu (Rusegiti), George Njuguna (Kalro Kabete), Simon Njenga (Thika), Peter Kariuki (Kalro Muguga), Leah Wariara (Kefri Muguga), John Mburu, Margaret Wangui Naai (Muguga) and Grace Wanjiru Ngugi (Sigona). Son-in-law of the late Paul Kamau and Late Hellen Wanjiru (Gatundu). Father-in-law of Carol Njenga, Wallace Mungai, Irene Kamau and Kevin Waweru.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home Muguga Jet Scheme (Ika lmwe) from 4:30pm for prayers and funeral arrangements. The body is lying at PCEA Kikuyu Hospital Mortuary and shall be removed on Monday 23rd January 2017 at 9:00am. Funeral service will be held at PCEA Nguriunditu Church on 23rd January 2017 at 10:00am and thereafter burial at his home Muguga Jet Scheme (Ika lmwe) the same day.

Caring mother of Loise Nyaguthii Kiraguri, Elizabeth Wanjiku Muriuki, Charles Muriithi, Solomon Muchemi and Lt. Col. Alex Ndung’u Kiraguri of DoD-Karen. Sister of Kamunya, Eunice,Wamathai, late Wanjugu, Gichuki, Ndiritu, Muthoni, late Wahome, Waweru, Githaiga, late Wairimu, Warnbugu and Mwangi. Mother-in-law of Samuel Muriuki, Regina Wanjugu and Hilda Nyawira. Grandmother of )ohnie, Grace, Fabian, Alvin, Rispa,Angela, Lewis and Naomi.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and burial arrangements at her home in Kinunga village from 3.00pm.The cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral Home (Outspan Hospital) on Saturday 21st January, 2017 at 9.00am for funeral service and burial at her home in Kinunga village, Mukaro Location, Nyeri County.

Mother of Leonard Ndege (USA), Loice (USA), Peres (USA), Beatty (USA), Milka (USA), Flobby (ODM Kamukunji chair lady), Prisca, Alice (USA) Pamela (Teacher), Esther (USA). Grandmother, sister, aunt, great grandmother and mentor of many. Her selfless giving heart and positive contributions have blessed and impacted many lives.

Sister of Margaret Kibui (Gilgil), Rose Mugweru(Chogoria), Fridah Kinyanjui (Nairobi), Mary Muraya (Supili), George Kinyanjui (Nairobi) and Christine Kibui (USA).Aunt of many nephews and nieces.

Mother of Maundu Matenzawa (Lukenya University- formerly of KNEC), Kyalo Gasper (Kiongowani School), Muema Gasper (Lukenya (GCSE) and Maten Gaspar. Mother-in-law of Esther Mbete (Machakos), Everline (Sultan Hamud), Felistus Muema (Lukenya Academy), Fidelis Kavindu (Mumbuni Health Centre). Grand mother of Elijah Muema (Nairobi School), Kelvin Kyalo, Esther Muema, Patience, Sarah,Tacey Maten and Agnes Mutanu. Sister of Naomi, Rodha, Heather, Jackson Sina among others. Wife of George William Okello – West Consult. Daughter of the late Philip Othieno and Edwina Adede Othieno of Ihonje village, Mumias. Daughter-in-law of Mzee Francis Oloo and the late Magdalina Aluoch of Kamrembo Siwandhe. Mother of Victor, Marianna and John. Sister of John Oloo, Grace Ochieng, Diana, Cecilia and Ronald Wire. Sister-in-law of the late B. R. Ochieng, Raphael Otieno, Michael, Peter, Linus, Caro Otieno, Lillian Oloo, Lillian Kache among others.
