It is with deep sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Brian Muraguri Muthoni after a long illness bravely borne.

 

He was the beloved son of Ms Ann Muthoni Mwangi of Lenana School. Loving brother of Hellen Wangui Muthoni of State Law Office. Granson of Polycarp Mwangi Kaburi and Helina Nyandia Mwangi of Karuthi village, Othaya. Nephew of Mr and Mrs Ngatia, Mr and Mrs Maina (Far East Motors Limited), Gichingo, Mr and Mrs Mathenge (Kagere), Mr and Mrs Mwaura (Kamakwa), Mr and Mrs Muraguri (Mombasa), kanji, Gichuki and Ann.

 

Loving Cousin to Mwangi, Nyawira, Muriuki, Dennis, Maina, Karen, Mukami, NJoki, Kariuki, Fidelis, Felix, Pdyte elry Amos, Manasseh and Dennis. Great friend to many.

 

Family and friends are meeting at Hot Dishes Restaurant next to City Hall, Nairobi, from 6pm on Thursday 15/ 12/2016.

 

The Cortege will leave Kenyatta University Mortuary at 6am and proceed to his grandfather’s farm at Karuthi village, Othaya where the funeral service will be held on Saturday 17th December 2016 from 11.00 am.

He was a step son to Janet Wanjugu Wachira. He was the loving husband of Esther Wanjiru Gitonga. Father of Joyce Muthoni Mathenge (KRA) and Mathenge Wanderi (Businessman), Peter Wachira (Keekorok Lodge) and Catherine Nyambura, Mary Wangeci and Justus Bai (Shelter Afrique), Grace Watetu (Silver Springs), Ekrah Ngima and Joseph Waweru (Businessman), the Late Rebecca Wanjira, David Ndungu (Broadcom Communications) and Eunice Wangui, Robert Mathenge (DoD) and Anne Magiri. He was a step brother of Mbauni, Wanjiru, Kariuki and Muthoni and a brother in-law to Ekrah Ndiang’ui (Karangia), Paul Ndung’u (Ndung’u, Njoroge and Kwach Advocates), Isaiah Ndung’u (Narok), Erastus Mathenge (Nyeri) and Eunice Nyagaki (Kinoo). Loving grand-father of Wanderi & Irene, Nyawira and Tony, Jackie, Anthony, Maureen, Michelle, Njoki, Shem, Henry, Cynthia, Mark, Linda, Alvan, Mike, Wachira, Gitonga, Marvin, Felix and Maryann. He was a great grand-father of six.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Mathenge Wanderi’s residence and at All Saints Cathedral from Tuesday to Thursday from 5:30p.m. The cortege leaves Outspan Hospital Mortuary (Nyeri) on Saturday 17th December 2016 at 7:30 a.m. for a burial service and interment at his home in Ruai, Ngobit Location, Gatarakwa from 10a.m

Son of the late Mzee Ibrahim Oguok Nyandoje and the late Mama Gaundensia Oguok.

 

Husband of Mama Sarah Millicent Mboya of Kanyakwar.

 

Father of Lillian Mboya & the late James Okoth, Linda Lennox, Joy Mboya & Felix, Isaac Mboya & Theophine, Caroline Mboya & Salmon, Diana Mboya & Stuermer, Philip Mboya, Susan Mboya & Nicholas and Eve Juliet Mboya.

 

Son-in-law of the late Mzee Ernest Akoko, Mama Nereah and Mama Dinah Akoko. Brother of late Hesbon, the late Agnes, Joseph, Dada Roseline, Jane and Celestine among others.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital mortuary on Thutsday 15/12/2016 at 2.30pm for viewing at his home in Manyatta.

 

Burial will take place on Friday 16/12/2016 at his village home in Manyatta B near Magadi Catholic Parish.
