We regret to announce the death of Bishop Javier Echevarria.
Prelate of Opus Dei and Chancellor of Strathmore University on 12th December 2016 in Rome, Italy.

Bishop Echevarria was in Madrid. He worked closely with St Josemaria Escriva, founder of Opus Dei, from 1953 to 1975.

In 1994 he was elected Prelate of Opus Dei. On January 6, 1995, he was ordained Bishop by St John Paul II in St Peter’s Basilica.

A requiem Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Basilica today Friday 16th December at 2.30pm.

The memorial service for the late Dr B M Gecaga will be held on Friday 16th December 2016 at 2pm, All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi.
The funeral and burial service for the late Dr B M Gecaga will take place on Saturday, 17th December 2016 at 10am at The Family Garden of Remembrance, Yadini Coffee Estate, Ruiru.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Godfrey Mburu Wokabi on 10th December 2016. Beloved husband of Margaret Muthoni and ane Muni. Father of Veronica Nyambura and Francis Mwangi, Apollo Wokabi and Fiona VVairimu, Joyce Wairimu and David Kamenju, Magdalene Wambui Mburu, Samuel Chege and Agnes Wamwitha, Lucy Waithera and Anthony Kivuti, Apollo Wokabi and Purity Wanjiru, Veronica Nyambura, Esther Wambui and Mbugua Mwaniki among others. Son of the late Apollo Wokabi Mburu and late Oliver Nyambura and Rachael Nyambura. Brother of the late Wambui Mburu, Jane Wanjiru, James Mburu, John Maina, Hannah Wambui, late Esther Waithira, Peter Waithiru, Lucy Njeri, Geoffrey Nduati and Nahashon Njuguna. Brother-in-law of Mary Nyambura, late Paul Gatheru, Stephen Mburu, late Stanley Njuguna, Josphat Nderitu, Philip Mwai among others.
Friends, family and relatives are meeting at Holy Family Basilica, St. Kizito Hall and at Miloreni Farm Kabazi for prayers and funeral arrangements on Wednesday (14/12/2016), Thursday (15/12/2016), Friday (16/12/2016) and Monday (19/12/2016) from 5.30pm.
The cortege leaves from Kijabe Mission Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday 20th December at 6.30am for the funeral Mass at Miloreni Catholic Church and thereafter burial at home, Miloreni Farm, Kabazi, Nakuru County.

We, the family of the late Mzee Burton Gitahi Kabua and on behalf of our beloved mother Teresa Wanjugu Gitahi, would like to express our sincere gratitude for the prayers and support offered as we laid our father to rest. Son of Japuonj Zakayo Odoyo Makolwal and the late Mama Grace Akumu Odoyo. Step-son of Mama Felisters, Rose, Florence and Caroline. He is a nephew of Dr. Evans Kidero (Governor Nairobi City County) and the Okoko family in Oyugis Wire. Husband of Irene Wanjiku Olwal (Switzerland), father of Grace Akumu. Brother of the late Darmian Olwal, Lucy Otieno (State House Girls, Nairobi), Lawrence Olwal (N.P.S Thika), Maureen Olwal (Rusinga School, Nairobi), Eng. John Olwal (Switzerland) Irene Olwal (Wiobiero Sec School), Eng. Joseph Olwal (Switzerland), Bon Makolwal (Advocate ORPP Nairobi), Mary Olwal (Switzerland) Ben Olwal (Germany) Moses Olwal (Kenyatta University), Clare Olwal, Evans Olwal and Dalmas Olwal (Rapogi High School). Son in-law of James Mugana and Anne Mugana of Nairobi. Loving uncle of Junior (Germany) Grace, Patricia, Zarch, Benjamin, Levy and Phelistus among others.
The body arrives in Kenya (JKIA) on Friday 16th December 2016. Fundraising is on 20th December 2016 in Charter Hall in City Hall, Nairobi, at 5pm.
The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Thursday 22nd December at 6am for a memorial service at his home church Marindi Catholic Church starting at 1pm. Funeral service and burial shall be on 23rd December 2016 at his father’s home Marindi Village, Homa Bay Town Sub County, Homa Bay County starting 9.am.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Charles Mong’are Mocheche of Multimedia University of Kenya that occured on Friday, 9th December, 201 6 at Mount Olive Sinai hospital.
Son of the late Stanley Mocheche and Wilkister Osiri. Husband of Zipporah Mong’are. Father of Kevin, Martha and Bronly. Brother of the late Nyasetia, Evans Machuma, the late Margre, Makini, Veronicah Nyanchama, Wilfred Nyarango, Elder Elijah Mocheche, Linet Makori, George M. Mocheche of Multimedia University of Kenya and Zipporah. Uncle of Geoffrey Makini of Multimedia University of Kenya. Nephew of the Nyaomas of Motagara. Cousin of the Ogongos, Nyamambas, Asutas, and the Ataris. Son in law of the late Rose Mokonyi of Mwea.
The final funds raising will take place today (Thursday 15th December 2016) at City Hall  Court 1 – Nairobi as from 4.30pm. 
The cortege will leave Montenzuma Monaliza on Sunday, 18th or funeral and burial service at his home in Nyabara Ibere Village, Nyabisimba Sub Location, Bonyamatuta, Nyamira County.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Suzie Kililo Mwanyalo. Daughter of Eddah and late Gibson Mwanyalo of Msau village, Rahai Sub location, Taita-Taveta. Mother of Brian Obiero Oyamo. Sister of Sheila, Jackie, Gerald and Eric Mwanyalo. Sister in-law of Ronny. Niece of Lily Mwairuwa, the late Archie Mbogho, Nelson Heri, Amon Mwatela, Jonathan Njumwah, Erastus Mwanjama, Betty Dzimba, the late Mary Wachira, Jack Rongoma, Mary Shuma, John Rongoma, Victor Rongoma, late Jemima Rongoma and late Grace Rongoma. She was a cousin and an aunty of many.
Family and friends are meeting daily at Tumaini House (behind Kencom) in Nairobi. A fundraising will be held on Thursday 15th December from 5.30pm at All Saints Cathedral to offset funeral expenses. She will be laid to rest at her father’s ancestral home in Msau village,Taita Taveta County on Saturday 17th December 2016.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Zipporah Wanjiru Mburu Maiyoho on 5th December 2016 at Nairobi Women’s Hospital.
Wife of the late Samuel Mburu Maiyoho, sister of the late Elder Paul Mwangi Wambugu. Mother of late Mary Njeri Kihiu, Margaret Nyambura Mbagara, Cecilia Gathoni Kahura, Pauline Nyaguthii Kinuthia lkinu, Jane Wanjiku Njiraini, Patrick Gitau Mburu, Keziah Wambui Thuku, Elijah Wambugu Mburu, Joseph Ndung’u Mburu. Grandmother and great grandmother of many.
The cortege leaves KU mortuary on 15th for a funeral service at her home in Mukurwe village Mang’u location, Gatundu, Kiambu. 
 
Mum, may your soul rest in internal peace. Amen
We the partners, management and staff of Humphrey & Company LLP (Advocates) are deeply saddened by the untimely death of our Partner, colleague and friend, Dr Stephen Humphrey Kimemia Njiru. We send our most heartfelt condolences and sympathy to his family and close friends.
 
This is truly a great loss to our Firm, community and the country as a whole. He will be profoundly missed by everyone whose lives  he touched. Nevertheless, let us remember Dr Njiru each time with a smile on our faces.

The memorial service will be held at All Saints Cathedral on Monday 19th December 2016 at 10am whilst the funeral service and burial will be held on Wednesday 21st December 2016 in Kerugoya, Kirinyaga County.

We, the entire family of the late Consolata ‘Connie’ Akinyi Alego wish to thank the Almighty God for the blessings of the life and times of Connie who was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and a mentor to many.
