Mr. Johnson Murithi Ndwiga (Jonso)

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that w(. announce the passing of Mr. Johnson Murithi Ndwiga (Jonso) who peacefully rested in his sleep on 18th October 2025.

Beloved son of the late Patrick Ndwiga Mrniu (Ukweli) and Edith Ngige Ndwiga. Loving brother of Fred, the late Peter, Pauline, Jane, Beth, Bernice, Mercy, Billy, and Samuel.

Cherished uncle of Njeri, Phoebe, Cindy, Makena, Collins, Talia, Jayden, Mutugi, Christian, Adrian, Nene, and many others. A cousin, friend, and colleague to many.

Jonso was a devoted Christian, and served faithfully in the Ministry of Regional Government, Housing, Devolution & Lastly State Department For Economic Planning as Assistant Director, Supply Chain Management. A true gentleman — “Mungwana ni vitendo” he lived by deeds of love, humility, and kindness to all.

The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral Home on Friday, 24th October 2025, for burial at his home in Kathigiri Village, Gatunduri, Embu County.

Mr. Luke M Shitekha

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr. Luke M Shitekha which occurred on 14th October 2025. He served as a teacher and inspector of schools in lkolomani and later after retirement he joined Malaika Children’s Home as a manager in charge as well as chairman of Kakamega County charitable children’s institution.

He was diagnosed with Parkinson which led to his death.

Funeral service will take place at his home in Shisele Village, Kakamega South Sub-County/ Ikolomani on 25th October 2025.

Catherine Wambui Maina of Gospel Outreach Nakuru, Moses Wang’ombe Ngumi (Business Man) Nakuru & Purity Nduta Wang’ombe & Veronica Wairimu Wangombe, Cyrus Giteru (former Bursar — Solai Secondary) & Caroline Wanjiku Giteru and Naomi Wangechi Njeri of Rift Valley Forex and Travel Max Tours Company – Nakuru.

Sister of the late Daniel Giteru, Minjire, Muiga, Mwihaki, the late Esther Nyagitare and Peter Chiera.

Grandmother of Susan, Dennis, Weru, Njeri, Maina, Trevis, Travis, Trister, Shifra, Mary Lazure, Mwihaki and Watare.

Family, friends and relatives are meeting daily at her farm in Njengu Nyeri and Water-buck Hotel Nakuru starting 4:30 pm.

The Cortege leaves Outspan Hospital Mortuary — Nyeri on Friday, 24th October 2025 at 8:00am for a funeral service at Muringato PCEA Church, Mweiga Nyeri. She will be laid to rest at her farm in Njengu Mweiga Nyeri.

Son of the late Dastson Mbiru Gathecere and the late Naomi Waithera Mbiru.

Husband of the late Martha Nduta Gathecere.

Brother of Patricia Nyambura Mwaniki and the late Priscilla Njoki Muthui.

Beloved father of Waithera, Mbiru, Munge, Mwangi, the late Mugwe, Wanibui, Njoki Gichinga and Thiongo.

Father-in-law of Gituma, Ngendo, Margaret, Jackie, Kinuthia,Triza and Wanjiru.

Son-in-law of the late Samuel Munge and the late Frida Wamboi. He was uncle to many.He was blessed with twenty (20) grandchildren and eight (8) great grandchildren.

Cousin to the Gichinga’s family. Brother-in-law to the Munges, Mwaniki and the late Ayub Mathare.

Dr. Franciscah lrangi Wamocho

1953 – 11th October 2025

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Dr. Franciscah Irangi Wamocho,which occurred on Saturday, 11th October 2025, after a short illness at MP Shah Hospital, Nairobi.

She was the daughter of the late Mzee Ernest Mugedo Irangi and the late Mama Kellen Lugaziva Irangi and a sister of the late Jemimah Irangi, the late Japson Irangi, Geoffrey Irangi, Flora irangi, and Jean lrangi.

Dr. Franciscah was the beloved wife of Prof. Leonard Samita Wamocho, and a devoted mother of Claire lrangi, Natto Wamocho, and Rhodrick Irangi. She was a cherished mother-in-law of Agufana Obed, Kenturah Ayuma, Ayako and Jackie Wayua. She was a doting grandmother of Kiki, Charlie, Kellen, Adisa, Baraka, Tuni, Amon, Razia, and Amira.

She was a loving auntie of Linda Ojiambo, Eng.Andrew & Gloria Irangi, Lydia & Paul Koro, Michelle Irangi, Mugedo Irangi, and Alvan Irangi. Martha, Dr. Tabitha, Gilbert, Dean, Lillian, Joan, Kenneth, Elisha, Andrew, Ruth, Catherine, the late Richard, Tom, Edward, Caroline, Jane among others.

A proud Guku of Kyran, Gabriel, Raphael, Dibaji, Mikko and Enzo.

Dr. Franciscah was a niece of the late Shem Irangi, the late Solomon Irangi, James Idagiza, the late Harun Irangi, Erica Chamwada, the late Elijah lrangi, Dorcus lrangi, Aziberta Onamu, Alice Busena, Esther Ndanyi and Simeon Mbwaya.

Beloved cousin of Ellah Okinda, Gilbert Irangi, Alphas Irangi, Janet Kavai, Zimbia, Flora Kavere, Isaac, Chamwada, Janice Irangi, Carol Irangi, Allen Irangi, Elsa Alfred Onamu, Dr Rose Onamu, Patrick Busena, Pauline Busena, Suzie Ndanyi (Deputy General Secretary NCCK), Edwin Ndanyi, Harisson Mbwaya and Judith Mbwaya among others.

She was also a sister-in-law of Elizabeth Irangi, Christopher Natto, Bud, Joseph, Hendry, the late Peter, Mr Kaburia, Rosemary, Eunice and Margaret.

Dr. Franciscah served as a Senior Lecturer at Kenyatta University in the Department of Early Childhood and Special Needs Education for over two decades. Her life was defined by faith, academic excellence, mentorship, and service to others.

Funeral Arrangements: A funeral service will be held on Friday, 31st October 2025, at CITAM Karen, starting at 11:00 AM.

The burial service will take place on Saturday, 1st November 2025, at the CITAM Kiserian Grounds, commencing at 9:00 AM followed by interment at her home in Kiserian.

Christine Wambugha Tole

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that the Tole family announces the passing on of our beloved Christine Wambugha Tole which occurred on 20th October 2025 at Msambweni County Referral Hospital.

Daughter of the late David Mwawuganga Tote and the late Mama Adah Majala Tole. She was sister of Noah Tole, Professor Nimrod Tole, Eng. Job Tole, Joyce Mucogia, Professor Mwakio Tole, Nell Tole, the late Damaris Mwanyumba, Samuel Tole, the late Habel Tole and the late Joseph Tole.

Sister in law of the late Mary Wayua, Ruth Mutete, the late Juliah Mrunde, the
late John Mucogia, Purity Wanja, Obadia Mwanyumba, the late Dina Egwa, Clara Wacharo and Emily Mtoto.

She was cousin, aunt and niece of many.

The cortege leaves Msabweni County Referral Hospital on Friday 24th October 2025 at 1:00pm for a church service at ACK St. Matthias Church, Shimba Hills on arrival (approx., 3pm). The body will be taken home for an overnight vigil. She will be laid to rest at the Tole Family home, in Shimba Hills, on Saturday 25th October 2025 starting at 10:00arn.

Sammy Kairira Michubu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the untimely passing of Sammy Kairira Michubu, which occurred through a tragic Roads accident on 17th October 2025.

He was a son of Stanley Michubu and the late Rosemary Njabani, Sammy was a devoted father of Emerson Kairira and Carys Kairira and a loving husband of Glory Mukami.

He was brother of Jeremiah Gitonga, Caroline Mwendwa, John Muthethia, the late Anderson Bundi and Glory Mukami (Student Kenya High).

Friends and family are meeting at Nyambene hotel (next to E.A.P.C. Maua) daily 6:00pm to 8:00pm, MeruTown at Westwind hotel (next to Bei sawa supermarket) 6:00 to 8:pm, and Nairobi at Homeland lounge (along Thika road, opposite Garden city mall) from 5:30 PM.

The procession will begin at Cool Breeze Funeral Home (Meru Town) on Saturday, 25th October 2025 for funeral service at Maua Pry School, Maua town, Meru County.

Dr. Stephen Ochiel, MBS

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Dr. Stephen Ochiel, MBS, on Saturday, 19th October 2025 in Nairobi.

Born in 1949, he was the son of the late Claudio Ochiel Kochiel and the late Peres Ndege Ochiel; beloved brother of Mrs. Mikal Odera, the late Mrs. Benter Awuor, the late Boaz Ochieng Ochiel, John Odhiambo Ochiel, Mary Atieno Otieno, Moses Ouma Ochiel, Eunice Akeyo Lombo, and the late Hellen Akinyi Mbira. Uncle of many.

He was a devoted husband of Grace Akinyi Ochiel and Susan Kieti, and a loving father of Vincent and Lisa, Don and Muthoni, Nicholas, Eric, and Brian. Proud grandfather of Jasper, Henry, Hawi, and Diju.

A celebration of his life will be held at St. Francis ACK, Karen on Friday, 24th October 2025, at 11:00 a.m., followed by lunch and fellowship at the same venue.

John Oluoch Onyango

With hearts full of love and deep sadness, we share the news of the passing of John Oluoch Onyango (Retired Director of Agriculture at the Ministry of Agriculture, Mbita) on the 4th of October 2025 after a short illness.

He was the son of the late Japuonj Fredrick Arthur Onyango and Meresia Adhiambo Onyango and Son-in-law of the late Tranquillino Solis and the late Narcisa Ella.

He was the loving husband of Dolores Onyango and a loving father of Timothy Solis Onyango and Maria Teresa Onyango. John was the dotting grandfather of Zoey Monae Omondi.

John was a brother of Pamela Onyango, Nicholas Onyango, Elizabeth Siso, the late Samuel Were, Eric Omondi, the late Caleb Onyango and Francis Otieno.

He was the brother in law of Dorothy Onyango, Alice Were, Josephine Omondi and Christina Otieno. He was a cousin, uncle and friend of many whose kind and lively nature touched countless lives.

The cortege will leave Kwee Farewell Home on Thursday the 23rd of October 2025 and proceed to hold the funeral service at ACK St. Stephen’s Church (main Cathedral) Kisumu at 12 noon. The burial will take place on the 24th of October 2025 at the family’s home in Seme Kadero, Kisumu County.

Ezekiel ldwasi Avihama

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ezekiel ldwasi Avihama on October 15, 2025, following a long illness that he faced with remarkable courage and strength.

Ezekiel was the beloved son of the late Benjamin Avihama and the late Esther Juma of Givudianyi village, Maragoli.

He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, the late Magaret Negesa. He was a devoted father of Edward Ambuga, Hellen Imali, Kennedy Alumada, Bernard Avihama, Lucy Mugasia, the late Ronald M’mbwanga, Patrick Odanga, and Peter Alwena.

Ezekiel was a loving brother of the late David Lwenya, the late Paul Masidza, the late Ephraim Konzolo, Zipporah Chazia, the late Beldina Kanguha, Milka Kavaya, Mary Murengeka, Ronika Chukunzira, the late Japhet Gavala, the late Flora Indusa, Elizabeth Kamonya, and the late Joseph Keronye.

He was also a son-in-law of the late Paul M’mbwanga and the late Yonga M’mbwanga.

The cortege will depart from MTRH Funeral Home, Eldoret, on October 27, 2025, for his home in Mitua village, Tongaren. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM at his home in Mitua Village, Tongaren Sub County, Bungoma County, next to Mitua Girls School
