Calvince Mark Makawa Kaunda,

It is with acceptance to God’s will that we are deeply saddened to announce the passing on of  Calvince Mark Makawa Kaunda,who went to be with the Lord on 13th October, 2025.

He was the beloved son of Mr. Kaunda and Mrs. Martha Kaunda. Loving brother of Rachael and Albert. Cherished cousin of several dear relatives.

He was a treasured nephew of Murigu, Ndei, Wagate, Mugendi, Joseph, Alphonse, Calvince, Edward, Francis, George, Michael, Maurice, Patrick, Geoffrey, and Evance. Beloved nephew of aunties Susan, Lucy, Phoebe, Tabitha, and Christine.

Grandson of Hulda Awinda,Wandei, Priscah, Martha, the late Lorna, and Everlyne; and grandson of the late Mwalimu John Awinda Makawa, Peter Gichuki, Joseph Otieno, Peter, Alfred, Tom, and the late Cornel Makawa.

He hails from Kabor Village, Kajulu Sub-location, Gem Central Location, Homa Bay County.

The burial will take place on Friday, 24th October 2025, at heir family home in Asumbi, Homa Bay County.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Anthony Kamau Mwangi

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Anthony Kamau Mwangi (Daktari of Sirimon Pharmacy Nakuru).

The late Anthony Kamau Mwangi was beloved third born son of the late Phillip King’ongto Gachagwa and the late Bilha Wangu King’ong’o. He was a brother of the late George Muchemi, Simon Muriithi, Peter Wachira, the late Ann Wangui, the late Lawrence Ndungu, John Kinyua and Francis Kiiru.

Anthony was a loving husband of Catherine Wanjira Kamau and a caring father of Evelyn Wangu, Caroline Muthoni and Philip Mwangi.

He was a loved son In-law of the late Miano Gikandi and the late Wangui Miano.

He was the father In-law of Alvin Kimoita and Elizabeth Warnbui.

Babu was a dedicated grandfather, of Angela Wanjira, Idris Ndirangu, Nina Njeri, Sifa Musanga, Eliana Muthoni, Neema Wanjira, and Zion Kamau. He was a cherished uncle, cousin, nephew, brother inlaw, friend and father figure to many. He will be greatly missed.

Daily Funeral arrangements are been conducted at St Andrews Church Nairobi and at his Nanyuki home, Sirimon farm at Ngenia Njeru.

The burial will be held on Tuesday 28/10/2025, at his Sirimon farm Nanyuki. The cortege leaves Cottage hospital Nanyuki at 8.00am.

It is with deep sorrow and heavy heart to announce the demise of our beloved Mum Patricia Wairimu Kungu which occurred on 14th October 2025 at Agha Khan Hospital Nairobi.

She was wife of the late Geofrey Mungai wa Githunguri, daughter of the late Mugo wa Njuguna and the Naomi Wanjiru. She was Mother of Rose Nieri and Stephen Kiarie Njoroge (Naivasha), Peter Njenga Kungu and Phyliss Njambi (USA), Naomi Wanjiru Kungu, Mary sWambui Kungu (USA), Judy Ngendo Kungu (USA), David Mugo Kungu.

Sister of the late Mary Ngendo Mugo, Mary Njambi (USA), late Margaret Waithira, Rose Wania (Germany), late John Njuguna, Elizabeth Thithii (USA).

Grandmother of Nicole Wairimu Njenga, Sheldon Njenga, Kamau Mugo, Wairimu Mugo, Mafia Malala, Robert Malala, Averry Ngendo, Simon Njoroge Kiarie, Alice Njoki Kiarie. Great grandmother to many.

The cortege leaves Montemzuma Funeral Home Nairobi at 8.00am, to her home in Kanyawa Tigoni, where the funeral service and burial will be held on Friday 24th October 2025.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Abraham Cheruiyot and the late Ann Teriki, and devoted wife of the late Aaron Kipkorir Kimaiyo. A loving mother of Taaitta Korir (Kenya Seed Company), Elsie Korir (Baringo County MOH), Dr. Meshack Korir (MTRH), the late Kiplagat Korir, Naomi Korir (Kenya Embassy, Addis Ababa), and Kigen Korir (UNFPA). Mother in law of Tom, Betsy, James and Sarah. A dear grandmother of Lauryn, Jewel, Nicole, Chemutai, Megan, Trevor, Chebutia, Kylie, Kylan, Ethan, Summer, Kalya and Kian.

Sister of Francis, Faith, Kimutai, Joyce, Rose, and Harun.

Barako Denge Elema

With loving memories and deep gratitude for a life well lived we owite friends and colleagues to join us in celebrating the life of Barako Dome Eterna. who passed 0n peacefully on 12 October 2025 after a prolonged illness.

Barako was the beloved son of Denge Elema Galgallo and Shanu Adhi Godana.

A devoted husband of Midina Bagaja and a proud father of their daughter Arbe “Machi” Barako.

He was a treasured brother of Roba, Daro, Woto, Taliaso and Halkano Denge Elema.

Barako was a son-in-law of Qato Qunya Bagaja and the late Qunyo Bagaja Qatamur, a cousin, nephew, brother-in-law and friend to many.

Barako served with distinction at the International Committee of the Rod Cross (ICRC) Kenya, where his compassion, quiet strength and steadfast commitment to humanitarian service left a lasting mark on colleagues and the communities he served.

A private burial has been held in honour of his dignified life. To celebrate Barako’s remarkable life, a requiem mass will be hold on Saturday, 25th October 2025 at 9.00am at St John the Evangelist Church, Karen. All who knew him are warmly invited to attend, remember his legacy and share stories of the kindness and service that defined his life.

The cortege will leave St. Elizabeth Lwak Mission Hospital Mortuary on 23rd October- 2025 at 11.00arn for a requiem mass at St.Theresa of Calcutta Kawuondi Parish, thereafter to his home in Ndhere Village, Masala. Sub-Location, Siaya County for an overnight vigil. The burial service will be held on 24th October 2025 at his home from 11.00 am.

She was the daughter of the late Mzee Stanslaus Nyakina Kiaga and the late Mama Yosabia Kerubo Nyabongo of Asemba Village, Bonyachaire Sub-Location, Bornorenda Location, Kisii County, St. Andrew Kaggwa Suneka Parish Kisii Diocese.

Her siblings are; the late Ambrose Monyancha, Mrs. Sabina Mariachana, Mrs. Elizabeth Matabori, the late Salome, Lucia, Monica and Martha. Cousins are; Elinja Ornbiro, Wilfred Kiage, Ann Kwamboka, Sarah Kemunto, Samwel Ogero, Moturi Otieno, Selina Nyamboke, Esther Nyanchoka, among others.

The cortege leaves Mukumu Mortuary on Wednesday 22/10/2025 to SMK Mukumu Chapel at 3.00 PM for a Requiem Mass at St. Augustine SMK Main Chapel at 4:00 PM. Thereafter Vigil Masses at the same SMK Chapel.

The burial will be held on 23/10/2025 at SMK Mukumu Cemetery.

He was a loving son of Mr. & Mrs. Joel Nzuki. Brother of the late Mutuku, John, Peter, Joshua and Brittah.
