Treasured Memories

One year has passed since that sad day (November 4, 2015), when the one we loved was called away. God took you home as It was his will, but in our hearts, you liveth still. Loving and kind in all your ways, upright and just to the end of your days. Sincere and true in your heart and mind, your life was a blessing and your memory a treasure. We loved you beyond words and miss you beyond measure.
Lonely are our hearts today for the one we loved so dearly was called away. We think of you in silence and though no eye may see us weep, many silent tears are shed when others are asleep. The most wonderful wife, mother and grandmother God ever made. We draw strength and solace in the knowledge that you rest eternally in His arms.
Sweet memories cling to your name and your legacy we shall carry forever.
Deeply missed and fondly remembered by your loving husband, father, children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, relatives and friends.
Rest in eternal peace

CONDOLENCE ON DEATH OF MR ODERA OWISO:

It is with great pain that I learnt of the death of Kenyan actor Mr Odera Owiso who collapsed while rehearsing on stage in Kentucky, USA.

On behalf of my family and the entire clan of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, I wish to pass my deep condolences to the family of the late Prof Henry Odera Oruka, Mr Owiso’s father for this painful loss.

As a friend of the late Henry Odera Oruka, I watched young Owiso grow up, inspired by the ideals and public spirit of his late father.

The young man who left us was a man of deep conviction and courage who faced challenges without trying to look for shortcuts.

He was certainly destined for greater strides in his career in Hollywood.

In Mr Owiso’s death, our country has lost a talent that was bound to place us in good standing across the globe.

My Ida and I join the family in prayers at this trying moment. We pray that God grants strength to the family to cope with the loss.
