Serah Wambui Mbugua

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Serah Wambui Mbugua, which occurred peacefully at her home on Wednesday, 15th October 2025.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Njoroge and Wanjiku of Kiawaihiga Village.

Beloved wife of the late Mbugua Gitachu of Mabanda, Gatanga, Murang’a South County. Loving mother of Margaret and the late Dr. Githiga, Dr. Regina (USA), the late Stephen and Joan Gitachu, Lucas and Stella Njoroge, the late Lucy Wairimu, Peter and Mary Mungai, Paul and Ruth Chege, Joseph and Mumbi Thiga, Catherine and Liti Wambua, George and Catherine Kibe, and the late Agnes Njambi. She was a doting grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

Dear sister of Esther, Joel, Kibe, Mary, Meshack, Hannah, Isaac, and Karanja.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Mabanda for prayers and funeral preparations.

There shall be Mass at her Mabanda home and at Kahawa Sukari on Tuesday October 21st at 4pm and 7pm respectively.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Referral Funeral Home on Thursday, 23rd October 2025 at 7:00 AM for a church service and burial at her home, starting at 11:00 AM.

Main fundraising shall be held on Tuesday, 28th October 2025 at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home Mbagathi Way, Nairobi on Thursday, 30th October 2025. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, 31st October 2025 at his home in Nyangena village, Nyachichi sub-location, Kemera location, Nyamira County.

It is with deep sorrow, humility and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Nelson Wachira Mwangi.

He was the first-born son of Joseph Mwangi Wachira (Wagachoki) and Consolata Wanjiru Mwangi, Brother of Francis Rukungu Mwangi, josphat Kabinga Mwangi, Esther Njoki Mwangi, Peter Ruthi Mwangi and Bernard Maina Mwangi.

Husband of Beth Nyambura Wachira, Loving father of Joseph Mwangi Wachira, Peter Nguku Wachira and the late Francis Rukungu Wachira.

Nephew of Jacinta Njeri Githinji, Agnes Wanjiru Muthee, Hon. Kabinga Wachira Wathayu (Former Mwea MP) Bernard Maina Wachira, Judy Wanjiku Wachira, Peter Ruthi Rukungu, Jacinta Njeri Rukungu, Elizabeth Wangari Rukungu, Mary Njarnbi Wamwea and uncle to many.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing to glory of Mr. Collins Okware Makero Opuko of Perth Australia which occurred through a tragic road accident.

He was a son of Mr. Ezekiel Opuko and Mrs.Alice Opuko of Kiamunyi Nakuru County. A brother of Pamela, Sarah, Rachael and by extension Isaiah, Lilian Esamai and Agnes Amase.

He was grandson of Charles Rabuka Kiboi and Lenah Rabuka, the late Laban Omusee, and the late Tata Rosebella Amojong’.

He was brother-in-law of Lui, Dan and David.

He was a loving uncle of Leonne Siya, Jeremy Wachira, Florence Wachira, Kiana Owiti, Sankara Owiti, Amiri Taysam and Shanice.

A cousin of Andrew, Alex, James, Esther, Joseph, Faith, Juliet, Dianah, Naomi, Joey, Juliet, Irene, Ashley, Charlene, Roy, Ivy, Terence and Kayla.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home Nakuru on Thursday 16th October 2025 at 2.00 p.m. for an overnight stay at the parents residence in Kiamunyi. The funeral service will be held at the ACK Cathedral of The Good Shepherd Nakuru starting from 10.00 a.m. Burial will follow thereafter at the parent’s home in Kiamunyi.

Irene Jepchumba Kalya Kipsang

It is with deep sorrow, yet with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved Irene Jepchumba Kalya Kipsang, which occurred on Saturday, 11th October 2025 while receiving treatment at Living Room International Hospital.

Born on 21st July 1968 in Mosoriot, Nandi County, Irene was the beloved daughter of the late Gerald Nathaniel Kalya and Emily Jelel Kalya. She was sister of the late Elizabeth Murey, the late Mark Kalya, Advocate Wilson Kalya, Lydia Kalya Sum, Lilian Sang, and Dr. Stephen Kalya.

In-law of Joel Murei, late John Sum, Alice, Joyce and Renard Sang.

She was married to Joseph Kipsang Metet, loving mother of Oscar Kiptoo Kipsang and Kimaru Kipsang, and cherished aunt of Diana, Belinda, Mercy, Cheruiyot, Kirwa, Caroline, Glen, Kiptenai, Kimurgor, Ivy, Chelimo, Barbara, Lynn, Louisa, Brianna, Leon, Laura, and Latisha.

The cortege will leave Eldoret Hospital Mortuary on Friday, 17th October 2025 at 9:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest on 18th October 2025 at her home in Chepkoiyo Village, Nandi County.

Born: 25th January 1948 – Rested: 10th October 2025

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved John Kanyua Kaberere.

Son of the late Charles Kaberere Kanyua and the late Sarah Njeri Kaberere.

Husband of Jane Njeri Kanyua. Father of Charles Kaberere, Sarah Wangari, the late Peris Wanjiru, Dr. Alice Wabuya, Catherine Nyambura and Hannah Magira.

Brother of the late James Nganga Ndichu.

Father-in-law of Catherine Muema & Olivia Magira.

Grandfather of Maya Njeri and April Mumbi. He was an uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Meetings will be held on Wednesday 15th to 17th October 2025 at All Saints Cathedral from 5.30pm and at his residential house in Nyeri.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home at KUTRRH on 20th October 2025 for funeral and burial service at Nembu Village, in Gatundu, Kiambu County on the same day.

She was mother of Prof. Herman Kiriama, Gilbert, Rose, Crispine, Janet, Beatrice, Lilian, Edna, Rachel, Violet and Fred. Stepmother of Duke, Joyce, Peter, Sammy, Damaris, Thomas and Gladys.

Joshua Tanchu Sinkeet

Born: 3rd September 1969 – Died: 9th October 2025

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Joshua Tanchu Sinkeet, that occurred on 9th October 2025 at Coptic Hospital after a short illness.

He was the beloved son of Simion Sinkeet Ole Mutungei and Ann Nenkoti Sinkeet, and step-son of the late Grace Naituyu Sinkeet, Miriam Rakonik Sinkeet and Joyce Mukure Sinkeet.

He was a loving husband of Judith Lagat Tanchu, and son-in-law of the late Anthony Limo and Mary Agnes Lagat. They are blessed with three children: Nicole Sian Tanchu, Sean Solitei Tanchu, and Jesse Leyian Tanchu. He was also a devoted foster father of Lee Kitty and Laura Kitur.

He was brother of the late Rayon Matiko, Samuel Nakudana, Teketi Antie, Mutete Noonkileti, Kikese Tirkuale, Jackson Matayen, Stanley Tinkoy, Daniel Tompo, Nathaniel Kasaro, Jeremiah Kipinkat, Walter Sakayian, Sinchore Sainepu, Edward Parmutia, John Kupero, Sinkiyian Ntetuka, Joseph Moinket, the late Benard Taieu, Satan Keponyi, Siteyla Leykapas, the late Harrison Kinding’ie, Alex Legis, Paul Kikanal, Nakaya Solonka, Moses Ntayia, Emily Nasei, Tumelei Olootu, Sanayo Mutuma, Nashipae Saruni, Julius Parsaoti, Nancy Saiton, Semitie Njathi and the late Timothy Tipatet.

There will be a Memorial Service on Wednesday, 5th October 2025. at his Namolok Home in Kitengela, starting at 1.00 p.m.

The funeral service and burial will take place at the same venue on Friday, 17th October 2025, from 11:00 a.m.
