It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Olga Leila Sechero Lasseko of Development Bank of Kenya, who went to be with Lord on the morning of 2 October 2025 at 9:30am after a period of illness while undergoing treatment at the Aga Khan University Hospital.

She was the daughter of late Ramadhani Ali Lasseko (Arusha) and Agnes Luseka Lasseko.

She was the mother of Ayden Rama Mukiri Museme.

Sister of Joy Alma-Macharia, Matilda Lasseko-Phooko, Gerald Lasseko, Hamida Lasseko and Yunus Lasseko.

Sister-in-law of Retselisitsoe Moses Phooko, Luciana Rajula and Timothy Macharia.

Granddaughter of the late Mzee Andrew Nzaywa Lihumi and late Mama Rita Lumula Lihumi.

Niece of Anne Khatimba, Alexander Mwilitsa, the late Vincent Lihumi, the late Michael Lihumi, the late Thomas Lihumi, the late Gabriel Ashiono and the late Catherine Lihumi.

He hails from Seme, Kasimori, Got Nyatigo, KISUMU, and was resident in Milimani Estate. Nakuru. He was called to eternal rest on Friday, 12th September 2025.

Edward was the beloved son of the late Silvano Cheche and Silvia Osumo, Nancy Adera, and Vicky Adhiambo.

He was a cherished grandson of the late Mzee Daudi Migott and the late Mama Silpa Auma Migott (Seme), and of the late Mzee Fanuel Oremo and the late Mama Christabel Oremo (Nyakach).

Edward was a devoted husband of Sabliba and a loving father of Carlton.

He was a son-in-law of Hellen Aweyo and the late B.E. Aeeyo.

He will be fondly remembered as a dear-brother of Odindo, Odhiambo, Benta, Phoebe, Victor, Grace, and the late Akinyi, Baby, Millicent, Oswago, Akendo, and Bidia.

He was a loving husband of Hellen Karimi Kaburi, devoted father of Arabella Wanja and brother of Moreen Makena.

He was a son-in-law of the late Julius Kaburi and JaneRose Kairuthi, brother-in-law of the late Mugambi, Kanyuajohn, Joses, Evans, Antony and Joseph. He was a loving uncle and cousin to many.

The cortege leaves Lampedusa Funeral Home on Wednesday, 8th October 2025 at 9.00 a.m. The funeral and burial service will be held at his father’s home in Gakuuni village.

There will be a memorial service at Chuka University on Tuesday 7th October, BSRC Room 306 starting at 2.00 p.m.
