It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mzee Naftali Njeru Waithanje which occurred on Thursday the 4th September 2025 after a long illness.

Naftali was the beloved son of the late Shadrack Waithanje and the late Eunice Karimi.

He was the loving husband of Jena Ciumwari. He was the devoted father of Margaret Muthoni, Eunice Wanja and Mureithi Kibe, Antony Muriithi and Mary Kiende, Susan Muthanje and Moffat Kariuki, Rose Njoki, John Ndwiga and Wangui Githinji and Anderson Gitonga.

He was the dear brother of Gladwell, the late Daniel, Esther, Zabedi, Agatha, the late jeridia, Harry Karugu and Muriuki.

He was the loving grandfather of Kevin Murithi, Arnold Mutugi.Tony Munene, Daniel Kibe, Dr. Eric Ngare, Thomas Kibe, Grace Kibe, Gloria Kinya, Brenda Wawira. Jayden Munene, Stacy Nyakio, Melany Wendo, Kelsey Katheu, Kylan Njeru, Fernandes Njeru, Vernice Nyaguthie and Jean Pendo. He was a great grandfather to many. Naftali was an uncle, cousin, friend, relative and mentor to many.

He will be fondly remembered for his generosity, his unwavering love for his family and dedicated service to the church and the community.

Family and friends are meeting daily from 4.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements at his home in Gitare Village, Embu-East Sub-County, Embu County.

The cortege will leave Gakwegori Funeral Home on Saturday 13th September 2025 at 8,00am for the funeral service at Gitare Primary School. Thereafter, he will be laid to rest at his home in Gitare Village.

Wife of the late Charles Wambugu Goro, mother of Catherine Wangui, Evans Goro, Victoria Goro, Betty Wangu and Anne Wanjiru Wambugu; daughter of the late Robinson Mumenya Gikuhi and the late Bernice Wangu Mumenya. Grandmother of Joseph Ndungu Mural, Kwame Njenga Mwaura, Mitchelle Kamene Goro, Brian Wambugu Goro, Shaka Wambugu Mwaura and Natasha Wangui Goro. Sister to four loving sisters, four brothers. Auntie to many nephews, nieces, loving cousin and relative to many.

Evening prayers at Andrews church Nairobi on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th September 2025 from 5.00pm.

It is with deep sorrows that we announce the passing of Samuel Mbugua Kinyanjui which occurred on I” September 2025 after a long illness.

He was son of the late Elijah Kinyajui and the late Josephine Wambui Kinyajui.

Husband of Ruth Muthoni Mbugua and Mary Muthoni Mbugua. He was father of Josephine Wambui, Eunice Wanjiru Gitau, Ann Wangare, the late Esther Wairimu, the late Godfrey Kinianju, Evans Kitonga and Josephine Wambui Kirubi.

He was a brother of Eider David Kinuthia, the late Daniel Ngugi, the late Moses Nene.

Step son of Hannah Wangui Kinyajui (Ikinu). Step brother of Samuel Mbugua (Nakuru Elder) Harun Mwangi, Monica Wambui, Mary Njeri, Kitale, Moses Chege, Zakayo Ngugi, Peter Thuita, Naomi Nduta, and the late John Njenga.

Father-in-law of Michael Karuga (Business Man Nakuru), Joseph Karuga (Kenya Pipeline), Raoul Nolen (Netherlands) and Boniface Kirubi (Kiambu). He was grandfather and great-grandfather to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home Gaciriciri Village Githunguri for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves at Mukoe Funeral Home on 2th September 2025 at 9.00a.m. and thereafter the service and funeral will be held at the grave site at his home.

It is with sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Charles Nyakeri Bagaka which occurred on 23rd August, 202S. through Pneumonia. Until his death he was an employee of National Government, Ministry of Labour, where he worked as the Deputy Director ICT

He was the son of the late Thomas Bagaka Nyakeri (Ssobe) and the late mama Milkah Kemunto and Mary Kwanituika Nyakeri.

In law of the late Samwel Omwansu, Naftal Mhaka, Ouru Mohana, Ezekiel Nyangwara, Kisinger, the late Jared, Rachael, Haron, Alice, Hylene, Nancy, Delphine.

Son in law of the late Elizaphan Mokua and Miriam Mokua. Grandfather of Many.

Cousin of Samuel, Hon. Jacob Bagaka, Dr. Naftal Kerecha, Chief Nyagaka, James and others.

Parents in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Pastor Obaigwa, Mr. and Mrs. Machogu.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on 11th September, 2025 at 9.30am for the funeral service and burial at his home in Nyansakia Village, Gionseri sub location, Masige West Ward, Nyamache Sub county, Kisii County.

It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Nelson Kemosi Okero Morande that occurred on 1st September, 2025 at Kenyatta National Hospital after a long illness.

He was the loved husband of Rhoda Nyanchama, Pauline Bosibori and Rebecca Kemosi. He was the father of Mogotu, Banchiri, the late Sabera, Okero, Ndemo, Sophia, Kwamboka, Caren, Dickson, Zacharia, Charles, Milkah, Joshua, Tom, Sarah, Robin, Boniface, Job and Everlyne.

He was brother of Esther Bachiri, the late Ebisibah, the late Kwamboka, the late Nyarinda, the late Kemunto, Nyanchoka, Migosi, Nyomenda, George and Okero.

He was son of Nathan Okero and Kemuma Okero. Step-son of Nyaboke Okero.

Preparation for final send off, the funeral steering committee together with the family, invite friends and well-wishers to the main Harambee at Professional Centre on 10 September, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Mogue on 19° September, 2025 for burial ceremony at Gianchore Village, West Mugirango, Nyamira County on 20th September, 2025.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Leah Wanjiru Kimani, formerly of HELB, which occurred on 31st August 2025 at Mater Hospital after a short illness.

Leah was the beloved wife of Patrick Kimani Ndune and mother of Edwin Ndune Kimani, Danson Gitau Kimani and Tiffany Njeri Kimani. She was a loving grandmother of Kingsman Ndungu and Melissa Pendo and mother-in-law of Susan Njoki.

She was sister of Harold Andrew Kinyanjui, Mary Mwihaki Kuria, Esther N. Gitau, Erastus Kiarie, Hezron Mwaura, and the late Peter Richu Gitau and Grace Wanjiku Gitau. She was also an aunt to many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, 12th September 2025 at AIC St. Michael’s and All Angels Parish Laiser Hill Church, Rongai, from 11:00 AM.Thereafter, she will be laid to rest at her home in Ongata Rongai.

We are sadden to announce the demise of Mr. Simeon Kipkirui Rono of Siomo, Konoin, Bomet County; also of Villa Franca estate, Nairobi. He formerly worked at Kenya Reinsurance Corporation (Kenya Re).

Simeon was beloved husband of Mrs. Evalyne Rono of the National Anti-Corruption Campaign Steering Committee (NACCSC) – State Department of Justice. He was a doting father of Gideon Kirui (Ministry of Public Works), Mercy Rono, Faith Rono, Caleb Rono (DP World) and Hope Rono (UON).

He was the third born child of the late Gregory Sigira and the late Maria Sigira. He was the son in law of the late Michael Kalya and Mrs. Lily and Beatrice Kalya of Chongenwo, Konoin.

He was a dear brother of Rosa, Alex, Francisca, Raphael, the late Paul,Alfred, and Sister Josephine. He was a loving brother in-law and uncle to many.

There will be a memorial service on Thursday, 11th September 2025 at Parklands Baptist Church, Westlands, Nairobi at 2.00 PM.

The cortege leaves Montezuma funeral home on Friday, 12th September 2025 at 9.00 AM for an overnight stay at home.The interment will be on Saturday, 13th September 2025 at his home, Siomo.

Son of James Wachira Buru and the late Jedidah Waihuini Wachira and step-son of Gladys Wacheke Wachira.

Son-in-law of the late Julius Kimani Muchemi and late Jane Wambui.
