Moses Muriu Mbugua

It is with deep sorrow and in humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved Moses Muriu Mbugua on Saturday, 30th August 2025.
He was the cherished son of the late Nimrod Mbugua and the late Peris Mumbi. Moses was a devoted husband to Mary Magiri, a loving father to Mumbi, Lilian, and Mbugua, and a cherished father-in-law to Muiruri, Ndiba, and Ann. He was also a doting grandfather to Catherine, Barbara, Feby, Tracy, and Ryan.
Moses was a beloved brother to the late Diana Wangui, Mary Wairimu, the late John Karanja JP, the late Beatrice Ruhiu, and the late Alex Kangethe.
The Cortege will leave Montezuma/Monalisa Funeral Home on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 7:00 a.m. Thereafter, the Funeral Service will be held at PCEA Ondiri Church at 11 am, and burial will follow immediately at his home in Ondiri.
Friends and Family are meeting daily at his home in Ondiri at 3 pm.

Evelyn Atieno Olalo

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Evelyn Atieno Olalo after a long illness bravely borne.

She was the granddaughter of the late Melitus Olalo Owiye and the late Louisa Olalo.

Daughter of the late K.O.M Olalo and Jeniffer Apiyo Olalo. Sister of Francis Olalo, the late Daniel Olalo, Judy Olalo, Eric Olalo and Tony Olalo.

Niece of the late Gerald Dede, Mathias Awino, the late John Onyango, the late Elizabeth Ochanda, the late Monica Ogaye, the late Bernadette Oloo, Irene Olalo and Chrispine Oloo Olalo among others.

Sister in law of Alice Akinyi Kwenda and Karolina Hagegard.

Loving aunt of Justin Otieno Olalo, Laila Lelo Olalo, Amanda Jeniffer Shahonya, Felix Hagegard Olalo and Sasha Hagegard Olalo.

There will be a fundraiser at All Saints Cathedral on Tuesday 2nd September 2025 from 5.00 pm.

A funeral service will be held on 3’d September 2025 at Nairobi chapel along Ngong Road from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm.

The interment of the body will take place on 6th September 2025 at Kinda Village, Ugunja Sub-County, Siaya County.

Mzee John Wanyonyi Solomon

The cortege leaves Delight Funeral Home Kimilili on 11th September, 2025 for requiem mass at Chimoi Parish Catholic Church and hereafter proceed to his home Bahai area, Kiliboti Sub-location, Matete sub-county. Funeral service and burial will be held on Saturday, 13th September, 2025 from 8:30 am.

George Otieno Ribba

The Kenya Broadcasting Corporation announces with deep sorrow the passing of Mr. George Otieno Ribba, who passed away on Tuesday, 29th July 2025. Until his demise, George was a Senior Revenue Accountant at the Corporation’s Kisumu Station.

George will be fondly remembered for his humility, integrity, generosity, and unwavering dedication to public service.

He was a husband of Mercy Jacqueline Atieno and father of Gerald Lazarus Omondi (Kabarak University), Nicole Loice Adhiambo (Kabarak University), Nadia Anna Akinyi, and Neema Ivanna Esther.

He was a son of the late Naman Ribba Muga, Mama Annah Adhiambo Ribba and Grace Akinyi Ribba.

George hailed from Kodoyo and Orech Village, Rangwe, Homa Bay County.

He was a cherished brother of Kennedy, the late Millicent, Erick, Solley, Seth, Evans, Calvince, Wycliffe, Paul, the late Geoffrey, the late Brenda, Jovidan, Loice, Dennis,Tom, Ben, Polycap among others.

He was a son-in-law of the late George Owino and the late Esther Owino. He was a beloved brother-in-law of Prof.Tom Owino, the late Peter Oude, Ronald Onyango, Jane Achieng Owino, Collins Omondi, Millicent Owino, the late Francis Oduor, Michael Owino, the late Caroline Awino, Julius Odongo, Elizabeth Ochieng, Joan Omulo, Mary Ouma, Belindah Okeyo, Vallary Onyango, Raylex Ouma, Mercy Odhiambo, Irene Odoyo, Susan Omondi, Ephy Owino, among others. George was a dear nephew, cousin, and friend to many whose lives he touched with kindness and humility.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, 5th September 2025, at his homestead in Det, Odorech Village, Kaura, Kwoyo Kochia, Rangwe, Homa Bay County. The cortege leaves Kwe Funeral Home, Kisumu, on Thursday, 4th September 2025.

Loving husband of Akisa Nduta Thuo. Father of Muiruri, Mwangi, Maggie and Ndirangu, Shiro and Allan. Grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend of many.

Son of the late Muiruri Kabugi and Margaret Wanjiru. Brother of the late Kabugi, Kamau, Waithira, Kiarie, Macharia, Mbugua, Wangari, Gachaugo, Naomi, Daudi and Maina.

Meetings and prayers are being held at PCEA Nairobi west church on Monday 1st September 2025 to Wednesday 3rd September 2025 at 5PM.

Denis Oseko Nyabira

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our brother, dad, son, and friend, Denis Oseko Nyabira, which occurred on August 21, 2025, after a short illness.

He was a loving husband of Diana Matoke and dad of Victoria and Wisdom, a beloved son of Stephen Nyabira and Florence Kemuma, and a cherished brother of Naomi, Dickson, and Ben.

Nephew of Johnson and Miriam Areri, the late Bethsheba, Bundi Orango (USA), Rtd Major Masaki and Nyaboke Kerama.

Advocate Jackson Kuria Mwangi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Advocate Jackson Kuria Mwangi of Mirugi Kariuki & Co. Advocates, Nakuru. Jackson was a resident of Upperhill Estate, Nakuru, and went to be with the Lord on 24th August 2025 following a tragic road accident.

Beloved son of James Mwangi Mukuha and Margaret Wanjiru Mwangi.

Devoted husband of Advocate Joy Watiri and a loving father of Nathan Myles Mwangi Kuria.

Cherished brother of Eric Mukuha, Florence Nyambura, Caroline Njoki, Maurine Waruinu, Rosemary Wambui, and Grace Wangui.

Dear son-in-law of Lilian Karanja and a treasured brother-in-law of job Macharia, Stephen Kamau, and Patrick Muiruri.

Mama Magdalene Njeri Mbuthia

20th July, 1948 – 24th August, 2025

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Magdalene Njeri Mbuthia after a life well lived.

Magdalene was the wife of Peter Mbuthia, loving mother of Anne & Stephen Kibunja, George & Dorothy Mbuthia, Anthony Mbuthia, and James Mbuthia.

Cherished daughter of the late Daniel Kihara and the late Josephine Wambui Kihara.

Sister of the late josphat Thangwa, the late Wilfred VVarurwa, and Peter Gitau.

She was a devoted grandmother of George, Rochelle, Daniella, Chidi, Mugo, and Njeri, and great-grandmother of Arthur and Henry. She was a cherished aunt,cousin,grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at the family home in Juja for prayers.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday 2nd September 2025 at 10.00am at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Juja. She will be thereafter laid to rest at her farm in Nyanjogui Githunguri, at 2.00pm.
