Bernard Munyua Njuguna

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of BernzIrd Munyua Njuguna on 25th August, 2025.

He was the loving husband of Grace Wangari Njuguna (formerly TSC), father of Oscar Njuguna (Sun King), Joy Linda Wanjiku Wambugu (KRA). Father-in-law of Diana Muiru (Multichoice) and James Wambugu (Thika Greens). He was blessed with 4 grandchildren: Hakim Moustapha Njuguna Batambula, Maya Grace Wangari Njuguna, Levi David Maina Wambugu and Gilan Leo Wambugu.

He was brother of Col. Rtd. Ernest Mwangi, Alexandre Githinji, the late John Maina VVakianda, Mary Murega, Dr. James VVanyoike, Robert Mucunu, the late Pharis Muhika, Peter Mburu, Henry Ngugi and Kenneth Kimani.

Brother-in-law of Edith Nyambura Kingori, Bernadette Muraya. EvaWanjiru Kinyanjui, Purity Wangui Gitau, John Ngiabi Muraya and the late Samuel Gichigo Muraya.

The cortege leaves KUTRH Funeral Home (along Eastern Bypass) on Saturday, 30th August, 2025 at 7:30 AM for the funeral service and final internment at the family home in Kilimambogo (Ol Donyo Sabuk), Kyeleni Sub-location, Machakos County.

Daily meeting’s are being held at Kariobangi South, First Avenue, Furaha Court, house number A41.

 

 

Ms. Beth Wangari Kathuku

It is with profound sorrow and deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing on of our beloved Ms. Beth Wangari Kathuku after a short illness.

Born on 20th March 1984, Beth was the cherished and beloved last-born daughter of Mr. James Kathuku and Mrs. Winne Wangui Kathuku. She was a loving sister of Major Michael Kariuki, Esther Njahira, and the late Peter Junior. She was a dear sister-in-law of Mrs. Catherine Njeri Kariuki and a devoted aunt of Tito Yak, Michelle Kariuki, the late Josiah Kariuki, Joshua Kariuki, Katricia Kariuki, Nyanut Malual, Shawn Kariuki, Bryson Kathuku, and many other nieces-and nephews. Beth was also a cousin, a friend, and an aunty to many—including the Kagwanjas—all of whom cherished her deeply.

Fondly known as “Liz”, she was full of life—loving deeply, laughing easily, and touching countless lives with her kindness and cheer.

Prayer & Fellowship Meetings will be held at the All Saints’ Cathedral, Nairobi on Friday, 29th August 2025 – 5:00 p.m, Monday, 1st September 2025 – 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 2nd September 2025 – 5:00 p.m.

Burial service & interment service will be held on Thursday, 4th September 2025 at the family home in Ndeiya, Limuru Sub-county.

It is with great sadness that we announce the demise of Harmesh Kumar Mahan on the 23rd of August 2025 peacefully surrounded by family.

He was beloved husband of Krishna Mahan. Father of Aneeta Mahan Ryatt and Father-in-law of Ajeet Singh Ryatt.

Brother and brother in-law of late Brij and the late Bala Mahan, Suresh and Raj Gogna, Arona and Ray Butcher, Sneh and Harinder Sethi; Asha and Ashok Bhandari and Suman and Sunita Mahan.

He was brother in law of Suresh and Meena Bhandari, late Sudarshna and late Onkar Mahindru, Ramesh and Reeta Bhandari, Subash and Sabiha Bhandari, the late Avinash and Leela Bhandari, the late Surinder and Kirti Bhandari, Raj and Arshaad Rajput, Anil and Doily Bhandari, Arvin and Tina Bhandari and Sanjay Bhandari.

Uncle of Sanjiv, Rajesh and Amit Mahan as well as an uncle to many nieces and nephews of the Mahan and Bhandari families.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday 28/8/2025, at Nanaksar Gurdwara, Brookside Dr. Nairobi from 9:30AM – 10:30AM. Cremation services will follow and will be held at Kariokor Hindu Crematorium (Hindu hamshan Bhumi), from 11:00AM – 1:00PM

Wife of Mr. Elkana Serem (KapCheplel). Mother of Innocent Edwin Serem (ELD), Stella Jeruto (AUS), Manuel Cheruiyot (SGA), Kevin Kiptoo (Canada) and Martin Kiprop (Businessman).

Sister of Flora, the late Sarah, Abraham, Peres, Nahemiah, Pauline, Chris, Esther, David, Isaac, Evelyn, Sammy, Elsie, Priscilla, Rebby, Dan, Amos, Caren, Rael, Joan and Joel.

In-law of Gladys Rop and Titus Sorobit among others. She was aunt to many.

The cortege leaves The Eldoret Hospital on 28th August 2025 at 10.00 hours for a requiem mass at ACK Emmanuel Kapngetuny and thereafter for night vigil at her home. Funeral and burial service will be held on Friday, 29th August 2025 from 9.00 hours at her home in Laboret location, Nandi County.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mwalimu (Retired) Francis Mecha Osoro of Egesieri Village, West Mogirango, Nyamira County.

Mzee Mecha was husband of Rhoda Monyangi and Yukabeth Nyasuguta. He was father of the late Ndubi, the late Pamela, Jane, Joyce, Salome, Grace, Peninah, Vincent, Damackline, the late Kepha, the late Alfayo, the late Advocate Geoffrey, Joseph, George, the late Zipporah, the late Nyambane, Millicent, Caroline, Calyster, Concepta, and Marleen.

He is survived by two wives, fourteen children, fifty-one grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren, as well as many nephews, nieces, in-laws, and extended family.

Mzee Mecha was a beloved brother of the late Nyangweso Mamboleo, Keremensia Kerebi, the late Omenge, Mellen Mariko, Kamanda and the late Bundi, father-in-law of Lilian, Catherine, Hellen, Joseph Kimotho, William, Josphat, Carlos and korera of many, including the late Johnson Nyairo Ornwena, the late Elizabeth Nyairo, James Nyauma, and the families of the late Pornpilio Pagliaccia, the late Festo Atoli and the late Fennah Obutoya, Mark Miyogo,Yuniah Bochaberi, the late Joshua Njoroge, Mary Wangui, Samuel Ongeo, Rudia Ongeo, Anyota Bisase, Keremesia Nyaboke. Mzee Mecha was brother-in-law In-law of Mamboleo, the late Morwabe, Mariko, Retired Chief Inspector Samuel Omenta, Ochengo.

Nephews are Agnes Onchana, Monica Omenge, James Bundi, Charles Osoro, Charles Mamboleo, Mayieka Mamboleo, Stephen Mamboleo and Makori Mariko.

He will be laid to rest on Friday, 29th August 2025, at his home in Egesieri.

Its with the humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Elder James Jeremiah Opiyo Jonyo (Rtrd Senior Teacher) of Kodera North Location who rested on 12.8.2025.

He was the beloved husband of the late Dina Grace Anyango Opiyo and son of the late Samson Jonyo and the late Teresa Ogal.

He was a devoted father of the late Kennedy, Emma (AA Kenya), the late Tom, Lilian (KEMRI-CDC Nairobi), Dancun (Orbit Chemicals). Christine (Ongalo & Co Advocates), Victoria CFK), Samson (Salop Consultants), and Harmon Opiyo (Uganda).

He was a cherished brother of the late Loise Bobo, the late Michael Owino Jonyo, the late Beldine Ogola, the late Dorcas Oketch, Zilpa Muga, the late John Aguk, Nelson Adeny, and Peres Otani, among others.

He is also remembered as a brother-in-law of Cecilia Owino, Caren Aguk, Rose Otieno, Helen Onyona, Jim Ochieng, the late Paul Obara, the late Margaret Tindi,Tom Ogweno and others.

Son of the late Ibrahim Murungi (Kabwii) and the late Sarah Karai.

He was the loving husband of Marion Nguta Kirimi, a dotting father of Eva and Muriungi Kagane (Nkubu), Peter and Grace Mwenda (Kaaga), Henry and Martha Mugambi (Kinoru), Frida and Njuguna Waithaka (Nairobi) and Geoffrey and Mary Mwirigi (Nairobi).

He was a cherished grandfather of Munene Muriungi, John and Joan Kinoti, Anne Nkirote, David Mwiti, John Kinori, Winnie Nkatha, Kinoti Mugambi, Nguta Kendi, Munth; Mugambi, Kahaki Njuguna, Isaac Waithaka, Joy Kendi, Ethan Muthomi and Rael Nyakio. He was an adoring great grandfather of Mutuma Kinoti and Levi Omondi.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Charles Omuga Kabisae on 1 1th August 2025. Charles was born in West Kolwa Location, Nyalenda ‘A’ Sub-location, Kolwa Division, Kisumu County, of the Kasagam Clan.

He was the son of the late Abisae Ouya Oleic and the late Margaret Orengo, both of Kasagam.

He was a beloved husband of Maureen Omuga, loving father of Allan, Winnie, Robert, Washington, and Mdos, and a cherished grandfather. He was also a caring father-in-law.

He was brother of Otieno Kabisae, the retired Senior Chief Samuel Ochieng, Peter Ornondi, and Penina Atieno; cousin of Joseph Ouya of Nyamasaria Primary School, the late Walter Ojeje, Salome Adhiambo, and Rose Adhiambo Omondi; and brother-in-law of Rose Otieno, the late Benter Ochieng, Pamela Ochieng, and Judith Okoth

Charles served faithfully at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) until his retirement in 2020. His distinct voice and dedication left an indelible mark on the nation, and he will be fondly remembered for touching lives through his work. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and excellence that will forever be treasured by his family, colleagues, and friends.
