Omwalimu Christopher Onyango Oseko

1928 – 2019

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance that we announce the death of Mzee Christopher Onyango Oseko on Friday 27th December 2019.

Son of the late John Oseko and the late Victoria Kemunto of Kiru Village, Kenyenya, Kisii County. Husband of Agnes, Mary and the late Paskaria. Loving father of Margaret, the late Anthony, Dinah Onyango (Former TSC HQ), Julius Onyango (Principal St. Dominic Rusinga), Pst.Joan (Word of Faith-Narok), Colleta, Concepta, Prof. Cecilia onyango (UoN), Dr. Denis onyango (Celestial Dental Centre, Kasarani), Gladys, Julia, Emelencia, Roseline, Sr. Patricia (Lenana Boys High School), Dr. Fred (Milele Dental centre), the late Ann, Christine Onyango (Barclay bank), Jared Onyango (Barclays Bank), John Onyango (Utalii Hotel) and Benadatte.

Uncle of Christopher Ayaga, Dr. Onyansi, Albert, James, Severio, Mellen, Peninah, Kenedy among many, Grandpa and Great grandpa of many. Father in law of Ayumas, Githenyis, Ogaris, Mesas, Nyanangas, Ogembos, Mekenyes, King’ori, Okiogas, Nguis, Onkwares, Ontegis, Matokes, Ombeos. Brother of Ogachi, Ndege, Mogoa, Makambi, the late Sabina, the late Aloisa, Moyengu, Robina, Ombiro, Bokea, Nyakwara, Mosomi, Henry, Luke among others. Korera of Onsombi, Mekenye, Ngui, the late Ayuma, the late Githenyi, the late Mesa, the late Ogari, the late Nyananga, the late King’ori, the late Ogembo, the late Okioga, the late Onkware, the late Ontegi, the late Ombeo and the late Matoke.

The organizing committees are meeting in Nairobi and in his Kisii, Molo and Nakuru homes.

The main fundraising will be held at Professional Centre, Nairobi today 7th January 2020 at 5:30pm to offset funeral expenses.

A requiem mass will be held on Wednesday 8th at 10.am in St. John Muguga Catholic church, Pipeline, Nakuru.

The cortege will leave Umash funeral home in Nakuru on Thursday 9th January 2020 at 9.00am to his Tamiyotta farm, Kuresoi South sub-County in Molo for burial on Friday 10th January 2020.
