It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the death of Patriarch Mr. Raphael Nyong’or Omusi which occurred on 22/11/2025, while at Mercy Hospital, Oklahoma City, USA.

Loving husband of Mrs. Brigit Omusi. Beloved father of Maxwell Obunga, the late Charles Magadi, Hellen Achieng, Lilian Atieno, Jacqueline Adhiambo, Rosemary Awuor, Donald Onyango, Nehemia Mbani, George Odongo and William Ochieng.

Father-in-law of Prof. Priscilla Nyamai, Jacktone Lyambili, Rohan Cosgriff, George Madara, Peter Kerslake, Maureen Wanjiru, Julie -Anne Chiwetelu, Beverly Koren and Laura Origa. Cherished brother, uncle and cousin to many.

Loving grandfather of Michelle Lyambili, Raphael Omusi Jnr., Alexandria Brigit Omusi, Nakita Kerslake, Nini Omusi, Hazael Luleyi, Jayden Cosgriff, Jude Omusi, Isidore Nyong’or, Hera Alando and Brigit Njeri.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and burial arrangements in Outering estate A3 and family home in Sakwa Kamasoga, Otacho Migori County.

The requiem mass will be on 17/12/2025 at Buru Buru Phase I Holy Trinity Catholic Church from 2.30pm and night vigil thereafter.

Burial will be held on the Friday 19th December 2025 at his rural home in Sakwa Kamasoga, Otacho, Migori County.
