My condolences to the parents, siblings and other family members of Dr. Paul K. Mwicharo.
It is with immense sorrow that I write this letter. I met Paul at Wayne State University with his younger brother Lawrence in 2005 and knew him as a very dear friend. He was an extremely bright and intelligent man that possessed a special considerate heart and soul for mankind.
We spoke almost daily over the last 4-years and had only had a break in communication this April 2019. My Christmas’s in Michigan will be unfulfilled without our holiday dinner and indepth conversations. I am in awe that I am writing this letter.
I do and will deeply miss my good and faithful friend. Yet, I shall always be very proud to have known and spent time with Paul. He was an achiever. He pursued the doctorate in Pharmacy, an extremely competitive and difficult discipline, and successflly obtained his goal. I remember the many nights he spent 24- hours in the university library, determined to succeed and acquire his goal. He was also an entrepreneur. A man of great vision. Paul set his sights on not just working for a pharmacy, but owning his very own pharmacy. With determination and great diligence he also achieved that goal and became not merely a business owner, but a successful business owner.
I will never forget him, for he was an excellent man and friend. His word was his bond and he was never known to be a liar or a cheat. He was a man of great integrity.
Although his days on this earth were not as long as expected by myself and certainly many others, Dr. Paul K. Mwicharo made an indelible mark with his unforgettable personality and irreplacable passionate spirit.
Yet, Paul was a believer. A Christian that sought God for direction. We often discussed God’s many wonders and how we were seeking answers from God regarding our path in this unpredictable and often unkind world.
So, with great sadness I say, goodbye to my good, faithful and loving friend. I shall deeply miss you. And I look forward to meeting you again in heaven, where we can discuss our new life in the presence of the great and mighty God.
I miss your voice. You were and always will be loved. Good-bye…Selah.
