Appreciation

The Wanjama family would first like to thank God, for blessing us with Njoroge; for creating him in such a special way, and for giving us the 36 years that we shared with him. Even at this time, we praise God for giving Njoroge eternal rest and peace, while giving us divine strength and comfort throughout these last two weeks. God remains good and we continue to see his faithfulness.

We would also wish to recognize the spiritual support given to us and Njoroge’s soul by our various church communities and church groups, who hosted various services at our home. We are especially indebted to the Priests who conducted the funeral mass and the burial rites, for the honor and grace with which Njoroge was given a befitting sendoff. May God bless you as you continue to serve him.

We sincerely thank our larger family- our uncles, aunties, cousins and all our extended family for loving Njoroge throughout his life. You loved him more this season by standing with us.You stepped in and helped us give Njoroge a befitting send off. God bless each one of you for sacrificially giving your time, your resources, your presence, your energy and your encouragement. We remain comforted at this time and you continue to be a blessing to us.

A huge thank you goes to the families that we associate with; our amazing friends; our devoted church groups and prayer groups; our neighbors and work colleagues for walking the difficult journey of the past two weeks with us. We especially appreciate all the messages, calls, love, encouragement, prayers, and time spent warming our home. Your kindness and the material support given to us during this time has been overwhelming. May God reward and bless you beyond your love and sacrifice to us.

Special thanks to Umash Funeral Home as well as Karen Police Station and the local administration both in Nairobi and Gatanga for guiding us with what to do as we prepared to say our final goodbye to our son and brother. Thank you – your service to us and others does not go unnoticed, God bless the work of your hands.
