It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Peris Waruguru Mwarari (Mother of Makimu) of Gachuguina, ltundu village, Chehe Sub-Location Mathira, Nyeri County which occurred on 9th/06/2019.

Wife of Mwarari Gakuu. Beloved mother of Virginiah Gathigia, Peter Mathenge, (Makimu, Businessman KRT and former Director Ragati Tea Factory), Charles Gathungu, Eunice Wambui, Esther Wambere, the late Paul Gakuya and Samuel Ngure (Businessman KRT).

Daughter of the late Gathungu Nyamu and the late Elizabeth Gathigia. Sister of the late Nathaniel Kabucwa, the late Geoffrey Ngure, the late Wanjau, the late Mary Wamuyu and the late Beatrice Wairimu. A grandmother and a great-grandmother of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her Gachuguina home, at 4:00pm and at Ibis Hotel Karatina at 6:30pm for prayers and burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves Jamii Hospital Mortuary Karatina on Tuesday 18/06/2019 at 8am and thereafter burial will follow at her home in Gachuguina,Itundu village 10.00am.
