Peter Kimwole Kirop (Arap Njuguna)

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of the late Peter Kimwole Kirop (Arap Njuguna).The late Peter Kimwole Kirop, formerly a Police Officer at Kitafe Police Station, passed away on 13th March 2026 at Top Hill Hospital, Eldoret, after a short illness.

He was born in 1981 at Kapker Village, Korou Sublocation, Embolot Location, Tirap Division, Marakwet East Sub-County, Elgeyo Marakwet County.

He was the son of the late Jonathan Kirop Chebet (Njuguna) and Elizabeth Kobilo Lonyang, and a stepson of Taresia Tula.

He was husband of Emmily Bowen and Gladys Kwambai, and a loving father of Faith, Joan, Ruth, the late Brian, Mercy, Dennis, Abel, Abigael, Meliza, Kelvin, Shantel, and Fabian.

He was brother of Charles Rutto Kibaki, Abraham Kirop, Edwin Kiprono, Eddis of Kapkeirnet, Divinah of Kapsiliot, Margaret of Kamoi, Philaries of Kapcherop, Gladys of Kapsowars the late Jerotich, the late Jepkosgei, and the late Kibiwott.

Fundraising to offset medical expenses and funeral costs will be held on Wednesday, 18th March 2026 at Home (Kapker), Kamoi, and Mwangaza Hotel, Eldoret.

The cortege will leave Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary, Eldoret, on Friday, 20th March 2026 and proceed to his home in Kapker (Kapchebau) for an overnight stay. Burial will take place on Saturday, 2Ist March 2026 at Kapker(Kapchebau) Village in Embobut, Embolot Ward.
