It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Peter Omondi Opiyo. Who until his demise was an accountant at Maseno University.

Son of the late Michael Opiyo and Mama Margaret Oluoch of Kabongo Village, Kokwanyo East Location, HomaBay County. Husband of Pamela Atieno Omondi. Father of Effie Apondi (KMTC-Thika), Phelicia Awino (Naivas – Kisumu), Faith Akoth (Triangle Palm Katito) and Benjamin Milanya of Wangapala Secondary School. Grandfather of Walter Klein, Matiko Shamara Golda Matiko and Elroy Granton Ndege. Son-in-law of Obala, Wandaga, Darnaris Obala and Jane Atieno of Nyakach Koguta. Father-in-law of Walter Matiko of Cargill Kenya Limited Mombasa and Wycliffe Ndege (KDF). Brother-in-law of Samuel Ochieng, Dickens Ouma, Kennedy Okoth, Roseline Odhiambo and Gabriel Owaga .

Uncle of Lilian Awino, Jared Ouko Maurine Adhiambo, Patrick Onyango, Gradus Ochieng, Peter Omondi, Caleb Abuor, Eliud Okumu, Dan Okumu, Goretty Atieno and Wilson Odongo. Brother of JaneAtieno Owago, Mary Anjeline Okello, the late Maurice Otieno Opiyo, Philemon Okumu, Dickson Abuor and Samuel Auka. Cousin of Prof. S. O. Keya, Edward Obonyo and Melly Okoth.

The cortege leaves Nightngale Hospital Mortuary on 20th May, 2021 and burial will be on 21st May, 2021 in Kabongo Village, Kokwanyo East Location, HomaBay County.
