We, the family of Philomena Wanjiku Gathirimu of Imara Daima Estate Nairobi wish to announce her promotion to glory which occurred on 29th/Dec/2019.

Wife of the late Gerald Gathirimu Kibe of Gatitu, Muhoho village. Daughter of the late Kariuki Nderi -and Priscilla Wambui Kariuki of Karembu Village-Gatundu. Loving mother of Rev. Joyce Wacera Kariuki (Deliverance Church International), Nellie Wambui, Rosetta Wanjiru Gathirimu and the late Simon Kibe Gathirimu. A doting grandmother of Ivy Wambui and Claire Makeena. Sister of Francisca Thithi Kanyua, Cecilia Nyokabi Mbugua,Veronica Wanjiru Njama, the late Francis Wabethi, Salome Wathoni Njaga, Margaret Muthoni Mwangi, Lucy Wambui Wanjihia, Mary Nyakio Mwangi and Ann Wairimu Waweru. Sister in-law of Agnes Wabethi, Regina Mukorwo late Margaret Wanjiru Karanja, Mary Wambugu, the late John Mukorwo, James Karanja and the late Francis Wambugu. Mother in law of Bishop Dr. Mark Kariuki (Deliverance Church International) and David Maina. She was an aunt, cousin and a friend to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting at her Utawala House, next to Kokota flat towards Mihang’o Secondary School, Benedicta Estate, Utawala on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7pm.

The Cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Monday 6th January 2020 at 7am. The Funeral Service will be held at Muhoho Catholic Church from 10.00am, and burial at her farm in Gatitu Muhoho village, Gatundu South Constituency thereafter.
