Prester John Mutooni

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Prester John Mutooni, early in the morning of 19th April, 2023.

Son of the late Mutooni Mumbe and the late Tabitha Kithumbi, and husband to Brigid Katunge.

Brother to Mwendwa Mutooni, Simon Mutooni, Andrew Mung’ei, Dan Musyoka, the late Mutuo, the late Martha, the late Muthile, Nzuna, Syokao and Mwende.

He was step-brother, uncle, cousin to many.

Father to Angela Kahumbu, Roy Ndutu, Judy Ndungi, Agatha Gikunda and Kanini Mutooni.

Grandfather to Shawna, Joanna, John, Kimanzi, Austin, Micaela, Leo, Joy, Julia, sienna, Makena, Shaka, Katanu, Mutuko, Kyalo and Kavinya. Great- grandfather to Maria.

Father-in-law to David Kahumbu, Irene Mutooni, Robert Kibutiri and Ken Gikunda.

A requiem mass will be held on Thursday 27th April, 2023 at Don Bosco Shrine, Upper Hill Parish at 9:00am.

Interment will be held at his rural home in Migwani Location, Kyome Sub-location in Mwingi Sub-county, Kitui County on Friday 28th April, 2023 from 11:00am.

Family and friends will be meeting at the family home at No. 4 Kiambere Estate, Kiambere Road, Upper Hill – Nairobi, from 4.00pm on Thursday 20th April, Saturday 22nd April, Monday 24th April and Tuesday 25th April, 2023.

If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
