It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Purity Ngima Irungu, which occurred on Monday 17th April, 2023 at the Nairobi West Hospital, after a long illness.
Loving daughter of the late Benson Irungu Ndegwa and the late Nancy Muchiru Irungu. Step daughter to Julia Irungu.
Dear mother to AnnWangeci Mwai and the late Irene Muchiru ltinga. Mother-in-law to the late Peter Mwai Mugambi, among others. Loving Grandmother to Melissa Muthoni Mwai, Calvin Muiruri and Nicole Ngima Mwai, among many others.
Sister to the late Benson Wachira Irungu, Esther Gichohi (USA), Leonard Ndegwa Irungu, James Karumba Irungu, Micheal Muriuki Irungu, the late Lydia Wangu Irungu, the late Martin Mureithi Irungu and Jane Wanjiru Irungu. Step-sister to Mary Nyakairo Mwai, Karumba Senior, among many others.
Sister-in-law to Catherine Wachira, George Gichohi (USA), Leah Ndegwa, Jane Karumba, Wahito Muriuki and the late Ruth Kirigo.
Loving Auntie to MaryAnn Wachira, Lawrence Gichohi (USA), Nancy Ndegwa, Brenda Karumba, Benson Muriuki, Cindy Irungu-Kimani, Willy Kimani, Wendy Mureithi and Trevor Irungu, among others.
Family and friends are meeting at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi everyday from 5.00pm to 8.00pm and at her family home in Karatina, Nyeri County.
The cortege leaves Montezuma and Monalisa Funeral Home – Thika Road on Tuesday 25th April, 2023 at 7.00am for a funeral service at PCEA Karatina Parish. Thereafter, she will be laid to rest at her family home in Karatina, Nyeri County.
