Born: 30th October 1960 – Died: 3rd March 2019

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Prof. Nemwel Nyamwaka Bosire of The Presbyterian University of East Africa (PUEA) on 3rd March 2019 through a tragic road accident.

Prof. Bosire was a long serving Head of Department – Business Administration and at the time of his demise, he had been appointed as the Director – Research and Enterprise Development. He was also a private consultant on Energy Economics and Development and a life member of the Indian Economic Association (IEA). Prof. Bosire was a Patron of the Seventh Day Adventist Students of both PUEA and the University of Nairobi.

He was son of the Late Shadrack Bosire and Late Bathsheba Nyaboke; Husband of Dr. Jemimah Gesare of National Research Fund; Father of Bathsheba Nyaboke, Shadrack Bosire (of Molo Academy Primary School) and Norma Bosibori. Brother of Nyachama (the Late), Mong’ina, Nyanyuki, Abuya, Maroko, Kwamboka, Omwenga (Principal, KTTI), Moindi, Oseko Onsongo (Both of MTRH, Eldoret), Nyang’anyi, Vinick, Marcella and Kerubo. Nephew of Esrom Ogeto, Nyanyuki, Nyariki among others; Cousin of Bosire, Obiero, Abuya, Esther, Rebecca, Rachel and Joyce (Both of USA). Uncle of Geofrey of NRH, Ondari of Kitale TTI, Moraa (Canada), Beatrice, Bathsheba, Jared, Nyaboke (Information officer, Nandi county), Nancy, Jared, Duke (Kariobangi Sharks) Bathsheba (Moruma Primary School), Joshua, Kemunto (Advocate Embu), Lydia (Hands up), Richnold (JKUAT) Ruel (UoE) Hellen (Kabarak Academy), Shadrack (Chepsas Secondary), Collins (KU), Moraa (Chogoria Girls), Chelsea and Duke among others. Brother in-law of Emily (MTRH) and Nelly (Australia).

Burial preparation and prayer meetings are being held daily from 5p.m in the following places: The Presbyterian University of East Africa, Tumaini House (5th Floor, opposite KenCom) and at the family home in Sensi, Kisii County.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday 12th March 2019 at PUEA from 9:00 am — 11:00 am.

The cortege will leave Chiromo mortuary, Nairobi on Thursday 14th March, 2019 for his home in Sensi village, Sensi sub-location, Kisii county where the deceased will be laid to rest on 15th March 2019.
