Rachael Wanjiru Mwega

It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will to announce the promotion to glory of Rachael Wanjiru Mwega after a short illness.

Wife of the late Haron Mwega Karoki. Daughter of the late Richard Mwaura and Grace Njoki. Co-wife of the late Alice Wanjiku Mwega. Mother of the late Njeri, Samuel Mwega, the late Prof. Mwega, Wangai, the late Wanjiku, Wanja Gatimu, Thiong’o, Kihiko. Step-mother of the late Njeri, the late Karoki, Gitahi, Nyambura, Wanja, Wangai and Wanjiru. Sister of the late Wambui, the late Mbogua, the late Kamau, Mumbi (Ol Jororok) and Maruthu of Matathia. Auntie, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home Lioki for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University mortuary on Tuesday 12th March 2019 for Church service at Lioki Catholic church and burial thereafter at her home.
