It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely demise of Prof. Rose Wanjiru Kamenwa, wife of Dr. Leonard Kamenwa Njenga, which occurred on 8th February 2026 at Aga Khan University Hospital.

Daughter of the late Joram Mugo and the late Julia Wanjiku Mugo of Kamacharia Location, Muranga. Daughter-In-law of the late Lay Canon Ernest Njenga Kiruku and the late Mrs Mary Nyokabi Njenga of Redhill.

Loving mother of Christopher and Maureen Njenga, Kevin and Hilda Mugo, Dr. John and D., Brenda Njogu and Lynette Nyokabi Kamenwa. Grandmother of Micheal Kamenwa Njenga, Rose Wanjiru Njenga, Robert Kamenwa Mugo, Rose Wanjiru Mugo, Richard Ng”ang’a Mugo, Natalie Wanjiru Njogu, Isaac Kamenwa Njogu and Kimora Kwamboka Njogu.

Doting sister of the late Naomi Nyambura, late Esther Gachambi, late Salome Richu, Loise Kariuki, Martha Kiguta, late Sophia Ndungu, Gerald Gatimu, late Humphery Mbathi, late Eva Wanjiku, late Beth Warnbui and late Naomi Nyambura.

Prayers and funeral arrangements are being held daily at their Redhill home from 3pm.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Wednesday 18th February 2026 at 9am for a funeral service at MaryEN Gardens Redhill at 11AM. Thereafter interment at their family home in Redhill.
