Rest in Peace prof. The United Kenya Club fraternity which was like your second family in the evenings for many years at your old age will miss you dearly. What of your love for Arsenal Team. A die hard fun. If not around you would make a lengthy call to be updated on pre match and post match analysis. As a Man U fan i have lost a Challenger fun. At your age you liked being up to date of everything life offers to Man kind. Let alone EPL. Dance with Angels Prof. till we meet again at the other side of life.

I am saddened to learn that a wonderful and kind person like Fred is no longer with us. He befriended me and my wife when we visited years ago and I will always remember him. He taught me about Kenya time and what it meant in scheduling a meeting. May he rest in peace.

I knew Fred when he was a grad student at MSU and loved him dearly. He used to have 2 phones: a black one for “African affairs” and a red one for personal affairs.
