Rebecca Apiyo Wandera

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Rebecca Apiyo Wandera, which occurred on 13th February 2026. She was born on 10th February 1947.

Daughter of Clement Manda and Maria Narodzo. Sister of Jacob, Euphemia, Lukas, Dominic,Albert, Petronilah, Mildred, the late Melchior, the late Monica, John, Samson and Bullantine.

She was the beloved wife of Fidelis Wandera Busolo. Loving mother of Catherine, Justus, Doreen, Eric, Hillary, Carolyne, Joseph, Victor, and the late Edwin.

Sister-in-law of Anastacia, Phelenia, Susana, and Josphine Taka. Cherished grandmother of over 25 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many daughters-in-law.

Aunt of Prof. Peter Barasa, Pascal Sande, Dr. Getrude Anyango, Prof. Patrick Mangeni, Wilberforce Barasa, Francis Okumu, Paulina Okumu, Rebeca Okumu, Elizabeth Okumu, Hellen Anyango, Stephen Ochieng, Auma Okado, among others.

Family, relatives and friends meet every day at home in Siribale Village.

The cortege will leave PNN Funeral Home, Nakuru, on Thursday, 26th February 2026, for a Requiem Mass at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Lwanya — Matayos, after which the body will proceed home.

The burial service will be held at Igero Primary School on Friday 27th February 2026, followed by interment at her home in Siribale Village.
