Rita Tinina Yiapan

It is with profound shock, sadness and heavy hearts that we relay the news of the passing on of Rita Tinina Yiapan, a cherished member of the NTV family, which occurred on 17th March 2024 in her sleep.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Dominic and late Mary Yiapan. Devoted mother of Mia
Malaikah and loving partner of Robert Nagila.

Rita held a special place as a beloved sister of Helen, Irene, Justine, Jedidah, Keen and Claudia. She was also deeply cherished as a sister-in-law of Timothy, Roshen, Belmont,Agnes and Macharia.

Rita’s nurturing presence extended to her role as an aunt, where she lovingly embraced Lonana, Sanaet, Njoki, Yamat, Patita, Saitabau, Cedric, Kuntai, Lee, Kantai, Lindani, Melusi, Saidimu, Tewaine, Isabella, Lorna, Nashilu, Sanare and Silau.

She illuminated the lives of her grand niece and nephew Skylar and Shaqiri, with boundless love and affection. Rita’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of many as a niece, cousin, friend, colleague and journalist.

In this time of mourning, let us honor her memory with fond remembrance and gratitude for the love she shared with us all.

Funeral arrangement meetings are being held ac the All Saint’s Cathedral from 5.30pm.

Requiem Mass was held at Holy Family Basilica yesterday 25th March 2024 from 10.00am.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home Nakuru on 27th March 2024 at 7.00am for the funeral Service and burial at their home, Noosupeni Farm Olokirikirai, Narok County starting at 10.00am.
