Robert Ouko Gwaro (Olympian)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing away of Shujaa Robert Ouko Gwaro on the 18th August, 2019.

Son of the late Stephen Gwaro Kondo and the late Eunice Mong’ina Kerubo Gwaro. Father of the late Cathy, Kemunto and Kaigongi. Grandfather of Sheena, Ivy, Bundi, Kimathi, Luca and Malkia. Step-son of the late Kwamboka and the late Mosiara. Brother of the late Jeremiah, the late Monda, Stanley Mariga, Moraa Akuma, Stephen Ondieki, Ezekiel Gwaro, the late Borisi, Daniel Gwaro, the late Jerusha, Nyatwong’i, Makori, Joel and Ben. Uncle of Elijah Bosire, lsabellah, Prosper, Samuel, Alex, Ondiere, Sylivia, Marcella, Albert, Kennedy and Amenya, among others. Cousin of the late Bosire, Nyakundi, Nehemiah, Momanyi, Noah, Joshua, Naftal, Jerry, Omao and Omonywa, among others. Nephew of the late Bethshua Nyatichi, the late Jephta Bogonko, Nyaera and the late Onchwari.

Prayers and funeral meetings are taking place daily at Drive 2 Kerarapon, Ngong.

Final fundraising will be held at Nairobi Central SDA Church, Jakaya Kikwete Road, starting at 5:30p.m on Wednesday 28th August 2019.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home on Thursday 29th August, 2019 at 2:00p.m for overnight stay at his Kerarapon home.

Funeral service will be conducted at Serare School grounds on Friday 30th August from 9:00am. Burial will be at his Kerarapon home at 2:00pm.
