Rose Achieng Owili (Siprosa)

With a humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the promotion to glory of our dear mother, Mama Rose Achieng Owili (Siprosa) on 10th April 2024.

She was the daughter of the late Simeon Onyango Okwar and the late Salome Akwiri Onyango of Sagam, Katolo Karacham village.

Beloved wife of the late Mzee Meshack Owili Obado of Seme Kowe.

Loving mother of Florence Ogongo formerly (KNH), Lilian Ochieng formerly (JOOTRH), Maryanne Owili (Kibwayi Primary school), Pamela Owili (Dignity Furniture), Esther Owili Otieno (USAID E.A.K.), George Owili (MOD), Erick Owili (Forces Memorial Hosp.) and Daniel Owili (Principal, Omogwa DOK).

Sister of the late John Onyango, Margaret Obondi, Joshua Onyango, Jotham Rapella, Josephine Onyango and the late Eli Soka. Her step brothers and sisters were the late Samuel Onyango and Sella Owiyo among others.

Her sons and daughters-in-law are Col (Rtd) Maurice Ogong’o, the late Patrick Ochieng Wambia, the late Manoah Olala, the late William Aloys Uhuru, the late Charles Owaka, Tom Bernette Otieno, the late Lilian Atieno, Victoria Mutiso, Dorothy Auma and Patricia Nelly Auma.

She was a proud grandmother of the late Ruth, Brian, Brenda, juliet, the late Junior, Samuel, Noel, Phenny, the late Daisy, Victor, Winnie, Alvin, Fred, Ronny, Eugine, Junior, Hawi, Jeremy, Jesse, Bradley, Rose Achieng, Marion, Isaac, Axelle, Loch, Joyline, Ryan, Evan and Pendo. A great grandmother of 13 great grandchildren.

She was sister-in-law of Mzee D.K. Josiah Obado, the late Peter Okoth Obado, the late Hamilton Anditi, the late Margaret Orwa and the late Jane Aluoch.

Friends and family are meeting daily at her home in Seme Kowe village and Agulu lounge Ngong’ Road.

There will be a fundraiser on Monday 22nd April 2024 at All Saints Cathedral (Nairobi) from 5.30 p.m.

The cortege leaves The Aga Khan Morgue Kisumu on Thursday 25th April 2024 at 1.00p.m.

Funeral Service will take place at her home in Seme Kowe and thereafter, interment on Friday 26th April 2024 at 2.00pm.
