It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Rose Margaret Gicuku Nyaga on 21st July 2018 at Embu Level 5 Hospital. She hails from Kivangua Village, Rianjagi sub-location, Embu County.

Wife to the late Mwalim Ephantus Nyaga Geoffreyson. Daughter to the late Gilbert Rugia and Estheri Kanyiri Muriria of Mbuvuri, Embu. Mother to Nancy Kimani (formerly of Barclays Bank), Catherine Rugano (formerly of TTC Kigari), Mary Mugo (formerly of Telkom Kenya), Johnson Mwaniki (Embu County Government), late Kenneth Murithi, Grace Mwangi (St Joseph Kiangage) and Alex Karani (Gangara Secondary School). Sister to Murangi, Phides, Njagi, Muthoni, Njiru, Mwaniki, Njagi, Gicuku and Wawira. In-law to the late Mr & Mrs Nyaga Murito, the late Mr & Mrs Mwangi, Mr & Mrs Bernard Njiru, Mr & Mrs Hudson Mvungu, Mr & Mrs Mucheru, Mr & Mrs Eliud Mbugua and the late Mr & Mrs Ephantus Kangoviu. Mother-in-law to Stanley Kimani, Charles Rugano, Robert Mugo, Margaret Muthoni, Grace Gathoni, Cecily Wanyaga and the late Peter Mwangi. Grandmother and great grandmother to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Kivangua village, Canaan Guest House in Embu, All Saints Cathedral Nairobi and Kenol, Murang’a from 5pm.

The cortege will leave Gakwegori Funeral Home at 9.00a.m for funeral service that will take place at ACK St Matthews Kiangima Church on Friday 27/07/2018. Graveside service will take place at her home in Kivangua village, Embu County.
