It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our dear father Mzee John M’ethangatha Ethangatha which occurred on Wednesday 20th June 2018, while undergoing treatment at Kirua Mission Hospital.

Son of the late Kindia and the late Mwontwamaine Kindia. Brother of the late Muyuri Kindia. Husband of Mwokuciana, the late Mwikuyua, the late Ciomwambia,Kulubo and Kathao. He was a Businessman and a retired Senior Ass. Chief for Akiriang’ondu Sub-location during the colonial era from 1958-1982.

Father of Mwakaciu, Mbaabu, the late Kiriamburi, Muturia, the late Kimoyo, Muriungi, Mbiti, Kalayu, Silas, Mwotharaka, Joshua, Kabirithu, Kathure, Ngiliki, Kananu, Stanley, Salome, Kinya, Eunice, Joel and Winfred. Father-in-law of Taratisiu, Mwirigi, Law, Richard, Mark, Karithi, Kiulio, Murithi, Shadrack, Naita, Mwendwa, Nkoroi, Karimi,Tabitha, Janet, Kaloki, Kanario, Dorcas, Catherine and Fridah. Uncle and Friend of many. He has 86 grandchildren, 76 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

The burial committee is meeting daily at Obama Kathelwa market and Maziwa Gardens-Kahawa West Nairobi and Kariokor Methodist Church (Tuesday and Wednesday).

The cortege will leave J&J Funeral home Muringene on 7th July 2018 for burial at Mbaabu-horn Ntabarene Village, Kathelwa Sub location, Meru North, Meru County.
