Ruth Anyango Nadebu Ochwada

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing to glory of Mama Ruth Anyango Nadebu Ochwada, on 3rd October 2018, after a long illness, bravely borne.

She was the daughter of the late ieliisha Dembu and the late Leah Achola Nasibinga; wife of the late Hon. Arthur Aggrey Ochwada (former Member of Parliament for Busia Central and Assistant Minister for Natural Resources). Daughter-in-law of the late Isaiah Odongo, the late Leah Nerima Nasubo and the late Mirieri. Co-wife of Beatrice Makokha. Mother of Gilbert, late Major Dennis and lnviolata, Florence, Jimmy, Rose, late Kennedy, Pamela and Milton, Grandmother of Jackie, Mercy, Omondi and Carol,Teddy, Otieno, Nerima,Tamara, Eric, Wanja, Ian, Kay, late Anyango, Imaan, Aisha, Nadebu, Adil, Joseph and Jesse. Great-grandmother of Eugen, Michelle, Ramona, Donnel, Dion, Lavighnia, Rochelle, Joshua, Nathaniel and Lara.

Aunt to the lsayas and the Khadondis. Sister of Samuel Khadondi, the late George Ojiambo, the late Albert Wanyama, Sella Nanyanga, the late Phibi Nabwire, the late Dorca Najabi, the late Moses Onyango, Haggai Khadondi and the late Dinah Were. Sister-in-law to the late Gad Odongo, the late John Odongo, the late Richard Odongo, Hosea Wangalwa, Jared Odongo, Wilson Nasubo, Dr. George Odongo, Phanice Wamakobe, James, Jennipher Rachami, Melissa Buluma, and late Mary Odongo, late Adonija Oyioma, and the Aworis.

Family, friends and relatives will meet tomorrow, Tuesday 23rd at All Saints Cathedral, for a fundraiser to help offset medical bills.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary Kisumu on Friday, October 26th at 9.00am for a brief prayer service at Mamboleo Estate — Kisumu. Thereafter the body will leave for Emmanuel Church Nakhasiko Village for mass service.

She will be laid to rest on Saturday, October 27th at her home.

Fare thee well Mama, fare thee well Nadebu. In God’s hands you rest, in our hearts you live forever!
