It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we regret to announce the passing on of Sammy Okinyi Omanwah (formerly of Masaba Hospital) at KNH Nairobi on Monday 210ctober,2019 after a short illness.

Son of the late Lazarus Omanwa and the late Tabitha step-son of the late Margaret. Father of Linda (Dubai), David, Trevor, Michael (US). Brother of the late Joyce, the late William, the late George, Florence (NYS) Jane, Jimmy, Vane, Beatrice, Mariam. Nephew of Daniel, Mary, Moses, Ann, Nyaosi, Moraa, Magara, Josphine, the late Okinyi, Gesare, Daudi, Kemunto, the late Marita, the late Ayiecha, Susan, the late Nyarinda, the late Kombo, the late Gesora, Beribetua, the late Gichana, Mary, Changamu, the late Mocheche, Nyandiri, Jemima, Asaeri, Sarah, the late Ratemo, Chiebunga, Ounya, Esther, Mangwa, Rebecca, Morris, the late Agnes, the late Ong’ondi, the late Joel, the late Teresa, Milka, Hellen, Ong’era and Ziruel.

Cousin of Ayiecha (Snr Chief Shauri Moyo) Geoffrey, Bundi, Bernard, Silas, Zablon, Bonny, Joshua, Hellen, Maiso, Samson, Ondieki, Sabina Vane, Dr Yunis Ong’era, Dr, George Ondieki, George Nyandoro, George (DCI), Yunia (Kenya Police), Hellen, Zablon (Environment), Florence (KSM), Mateya, Moruri among others. In-Law of D. Mogoi, Omambia, Paul Gichuki (KENAO), Osamo, the late Norah, the late Susan, Judy (Gikomba), Godfrey, Rama. Uncle of Ombaso, Makori (Naivas), Milkas, Ronald (Environment) Collins, Saumu, Brian,Kinara (KDF), Emanuel among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements, at Garden square, Nairobi. Contributions can be made to Milka Mogoi on 0720424070.

There will be a major fundraising meeting on Tuesday 29th October,2019 at Professional Centre, Parliament Road, Nairobi.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral home on Thursday 31st October,2019 at 7am for home in Nyamira County, Bosamai -Chache location, Ikobe Sub-Location, Tinga. There will be a prayer service at the homestead upon arrival on Thursday 31st October, 2019.

Burial will take place at his rural home, Tinga on Friday 1st November,2019.
