Son of the late Zephania Atancha Onkoba and the late Kwamboka Mokeira, late Rudiah Nyaruri and Nyaboke. Husband of Miriam Nyanchama. Father of Samson, Isoe, Kumenda of Gucha Pharmacy, Alice, Dr. John Kumenda, Florence, the late Stella, Mokaya and the late Onkoba. He was father in law of Alice Moraa, Hellen Moraa, Evelyne Bosire of Kisii University, Dr. Florence Gatune of Kisii Diagnostic Clinic and Nyaboke. Brother of Kemunto, the late Nyamokune, Nyatwongii, Salome, Hellen, Samson,Alice, Bochaberi, the Moraas, the late John, Zablon Onkoba and ,Simba. Grandson of Onkoba, Nyabando, Mititi and many others. Cousin of the late Jonah Nyakeriga of Kiango, the late Yusuf Kumenda, late Misati Machoka, the late Misati Asanyo, the late Zachary Ogongo, the Nyatuongis, Misati Ateka, Stephen Ogongo, Nemwell Nyabando, Nyakwara, Nduko, Racheal, Jemima,Maiyes,Tom Nyachae,Bororio,Boaz Ochanda and others. A memorial service will be held at his home village Nyabogoye and thereafter burial on the same day Friday,2nd June 2017.
