Samuel Waithaka Mwangi

We are saddened to announce the death of Samuel Waithaka Mwangi of Kambaa, Lari, Kiambu County which occurred on 1st January 2026.

Devoted husband of Phyllis Wanjiru Waithaka. Loving father of Joseph Mwangi, George Wahagi, Patrick Irungu, Irene Wambui, Lorna Njeri, Grace Nyambura, David Kamau, Hosea Ruthi, Esther Wanjuhi and the late Erastus Kimani. He was a grandfather and uncle of many.

In-law of the late George Mwangi and the late Ruth Wambui Mwangi. Son of the late Joseph Mwangi Njau and the late Lorna Njeri Njau.

Brother of the late Grace Nyambura Gachugu, the late Erastus Kimani Njau, Nancy Wanjiku Mwangi, David Kamau Njau and Washington Mwangi Njau.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Kambaa, Lari for prayers and burial preparations starting from 3:00PM.

The cortege leaves Uplands Funeral Home (Uphome) on Thursday 8th January 2026 at 9.30 AM. Funeral service shall be held at ACK St. Barnabas Church Kambaa starting at 11:00 AM. Thereafter his body will be laid to rest at his home in Kambaa, Lari.
