SARAH KAROKI M’IKIARA

1923 – 2021

We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Sarah Karoki Milkiara of Ikumbo village, Uruku location, South lmenti subcounty, Meru County.

She was the daughter of the late Julia Nchugune and the late M’Iracha M’Mathangika; beloved wife of the late Gideon M’Ikiara Kariungi. She was sister to the late Samson M’Mbwiria (Kibere), the late Maringa M’Ikiara and the late Naomi Kananci M’Mukindia.

Sarah was mother to the late Joseph Kirimi, Daniel Munene (formerly of Mwadisha Primary School, Taita), Ayub Murithi, Isabella Njagi (Kitengela), Salome Kirigo, late Jackson Magaju, Dr. Henry Kiara, Catherine Gaiti Cheruiyot (Nanyuki Hospital), Silas Muriungi (Muroba) (former councillor Uruku Ward), Geoffrey Muthuuri, Rose Kanana (Nyariginu Primary School, Laikipia), Eric Kinyua (Jivraj) and Nicholas Muthaura (OP Registration of Persons).

She was the mother-in-law to Frank Njagi (Kilengela), Sarah Ayubu Murithi, Ernest Kiruja, Florence Wangari Kiara (formerly Vet labs) and Jane Kinyua.

She is survived by 31 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral service and burial will be at her home in Ikumbo village on Saturday, 3rd April 2021.
