Sellina Ayoma Onyango

lt is with sadness that we regret to announce the death of our dear sister in Christ Sellina Ayoma Onyango, who passed away peacefully on 7/12/2021 at her home in Ujimbe, Asayi sub-location, Gem sub-county, Siaya County.

She was wife to the late Habil Joshua Onyango and daughter to the late Thadayo Owiti and Dorina Awuor of Asembo, Ramba.

She was mother to Joyce Onyango Otieno, the late Fred Owino, Loma Jatanda, the late Dr. Walter Onyango, Francis Onyango, the late Councilor Charles Onyango, Gerald Onyango, Phoebe Otieno, David Onyango and the late Samuel Onyango.

She was mother-in-law to Joyce Onyango, Margaret Omeno, Florence Onyango, the late Esther Onyango and Rose Onyango; Canon Justice (Rtd) John Onyango Otieno, Peter Jatanda and Fred Otleno.

Loving grandmother to Victor, Austin, Kenneth, Diana, David, the late Betsie, Fred, Tony, Trezer, Noella, Dr. Sellina Omollo, Martha, Patrick, Elsie, Bruce, Zack. Jim, Wycliffe, Ancent, Nancy, Dorine Koros, the late Dan, Ryan, Nicole, Dorine Sitati, Sophie, Habil, Elizabeth, Owen, Ivy, Bill, Sellina, Sean, Seth and Roselyn Nyawara among others. She was blessed with several great grand children.

She was sister to Sophia Bambla, Patrick Anyang, Jacton Onyango, Monica Ogaja, Jessica Oyare, Alice Atieno (all of who are the late) and Jael Omollo. She was sister in law to Zakayo Ochieng’, John Ogaja, Claudius Oyare, Edward Omollo, Sarah Atieno, Phoebe Anindo, Norah Akinyi, Emma Anyang’, Dada Rose Anyang’ and Jane Anyang’.

She was aunty to Joseph Onyango, Claris Atieno, Philemon Omondi, Joseph Ogaja, Margaret Okuta, Hellen Ogaja, Rev. Nick Oyare, Joan Okumu, Jane Olago, Rev. Humphrey Qmollo, Esther Guya, Florence Ouko, Alice Ajuoga, James Abldha, Omondi Anyang’, Joyce Akinyi, Joyce Oneko, Peter Anyang’, Thadayo Anyang’, Caren Omondi among others.

The cortege Is lying at Bama Hospital Mortuary, Siaya. The funeral procession will depart on 29/12/2021 at 10 am, followed by prayers at St John’s ACK Ujimbe at noon. Burial will be on 30/12/2021 at her home in Ujimbe.
