It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Simon Munene Maringa on Friday 30/10/2020.

Loving husband of Esther Wainoi Munene and the late Hellen Wangeci Munene. Adored father of the late Lucy and late Muriithi Mugo, Jenaro and Jane Wachira, the late Richard and Lucy Kinyua, the late Mary and late Muchiri, Jane and Gerald Mugo, Matthew Murimi, the late Anne and the late Kiura, Judy and Njuki, Joe and Mary, Zippora and Kiama, and Charles Muriithi. Son of the late Jenaro Maringa and the late Lucia Wanjiru. Brother of the late josphine Wangigi, Joyce Wakiaga and Paul Gitari. Step-brother of Raphael, Stephen, Michael, the late John, Samuel, Gichobi, the late Joseph, the late Jamleck, Andrew, Mugo, Juliana, Margaret, the late Teresia, Immaculate and the late Mary. A grandfather and great-grandfather of many. A cousin and an uncle to many.

Family and friends are meeting at his home in Ngaru, Kirinyaga County.

The funeral Service and Burial will be held on Friday 6th November, 2020 at his home in compliance with the Government of Kenya’s COVID-19 containment measures.
