It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Stephen Kariuki Macharia of Mt7iirigo, Gathinja Village, Wajengi Sub-location, Westhaga Location, Kihar0 Constituent, Murang’a County.

Son of the late Macharia Nduiga and the late Hannah Waigwe.

Husband of the late Teresia Muthoni Kariuki.

Brother of the late Gachiku Njogo, the late Esborn Njoroge, and Thomas Thiong’o.

Father of Peter Macharia. Joseph Kiragu, the late Esborn Njoroge, Hannah Waigwe, Edwin lrungu, Lucy Nyawira, Jane Wanjiku, Danson Muturi. John Kanyi and Cecilia Waiyego.

Son-in-law of the late Esther Lucy Mathaara and Joseph Kirag0 Mathaara. Brother- in- law of the late Ceclia Ben, the late Irungu, Jane Wanjiku Kanja and Benson Waiguru.

Father-in-law of Lydia Karanja, Pauline Kariuki, Kariuko Njoroge, Samuel Njuguna, Elizabeth lrungu, Rev Anataka Mugenyi, James Njoroge, Isabel Muturi and the late Gem Ramchander. Grandfather and great- grandfather to many.

Meetings are taking place at All Saints Cathedral on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th August, Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th August 2025.

A memorial service will be held at CITAM Valley Road on Wednesday 13th August 2025 from 4.00 p.m.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalissa (Kabati) at 8.00 a.m on Friday, 15th August, 2025 for a Church service at St. Anne’s Gathinja Church, Murangla followed by interment at his Muirigo home.
