It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing on of our beloved Mama,Turfena Awuor Okech (Nyargasalo) on 15th March 2018.
Wife of the late Alfayo Ogol Okech. Sister of the late Absalom Okong’o, the late Eba Nyaoro, the late Mary Agute, the late Ruth Agal, the late Millicent Atong’ and Anna Apondi Wang. Daughter of the late Jonathan Wang and the late Miriam Omollo, Sister in law of the families of Owino, Ogutu, Olweny, Randiki, Oguda & Charles Ogol Odhiambo. Daughter-in-law of the late Daudi Ogol & Nora Musungu indade.
Mother of George and Mary Okech (USA), Joyce and George Alosa (KSM), the late Arnold and Judith Okech (USA), David and Dorothy Okech (Nbi), Sammy and Mikal Okech (Nbi), Justice Rose Ougo and the late John Ougo, Judy Kudwoli (Bollore),Dr Violet Okech-Helu (KNH) and Samuel Helu (TMEA), Mildred Okech and David, Scholastica Okech and Josephine Okech.
Grandmother of Angela & Steve, Juma & Maryann, Audrey & Kola, Olivia & Allan, Nicholas & Mary, Sheila. Deborah, Philip & Fiona, David, William & Faith, Jacqueline & Shawn, Leslie, Irene & Chris, Jean & Harris, Don & Joan, Nancy & George, Daisy & Robert, the late Dennis, Dan, Paul & Cindy, Nicola, Lorraine & Marvin, Odhiambo, Chiwo, Alfred, Kimberley, Adeti, Nathan, Val and Vanessa. Great Grandmother of 22 great grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are meeting in Langata for prayers on Mon 19th, Wed 21st, Fri 23rd, Sat 24th, Sun 25th, Mon 26th and Wed 28th in the evenings.
Other meetings will be held at All Saints Cathedral on Tue 20th, Thu 22nd and Tue 27th March from 5:30pm.
Funeral arrangements will be communicated later.

Dear Mama, friend and Mother-in law. As I write this, I know you are now with Jesus, enjoying eternality in Heaven. We will miss you and the void you left behind will never be filled. But we thank God the Almighty for your life and for sharing your life with us. We loved you mama but God loved you the most. It is so rare for sons-in-law to sing praises for their mothers-in-law but you were so different. You touched our lives in more ways than we can recall. May your wisdom, witty, friendship and love continue to shine in the Okech family.
