It’s with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we the family of Maroko Obwocha announce the passing on of Elder Wilson Omani Maroko. He was working with the Ministry of Treasury (Pensions Department) Nairobi. He hails from Riamisiani Village, (Iranya/ Ekerenyo) Gesima Ward, Nyamira County.

Son of Mzee Astandon Maroko Obwocha, Yunuke Nyanchoka/ Miriam Nyarichwa. Son in-law of the late Ondieki Nyagaka and Agnes Kwarnboka of (Matangi village). Husband of Hebisiba Gesare. Father of Dennis Momanyi, Vane Kerubo, Davison Ondieki (Oute) and Violet Moraa. Father-in-law of Lonah Magoma and Dennis Mabiria Grandfather of Lydia, Joy, Precious, Mitchell, Liam, Isaac, and Princeton. Korera of the late Wilfred Ombui, the late Lydia Nyaboke, the late James Mabiria and Grace Mabiria of (Kegochi Bobasi). Brother of Hon. Mokaya (Gesima Ward), Wesley (Kitale), Barnabas Maroko (Kamyn Ind Nbi), Tom Mokua (Kenya Seed), Ezekiel, Asael Makori (Utawala) Mokua, (Drina, Hellen, Morangi, Elizabeth, Rudiah, Moraa (Chocho), Barongo and Stella.

Burial arrangement meetings are taking place at His home lyabe Ekerenyo, Gesima home, Kasarani Maji Mazuri and at Utawala his brother Makori’s house (Nairobi). The cortege leaves KNH Mortuary on 8-10-2020 and burial on 9-10-2020 at lyabe village Ekerenyo, Nyamira county.
